It does not matter that there never was a historic nation of Palestine. The fact remains, that regardless of the name of their land, the people who lived there have done so for centuries, despite what you may claim. Fundamentally they are a mixture of every culture that had passed through the region, including the ancient Israelites, and the modern Palestinians are not only in part descended from them, they have far more in common with them than the modern "Israeli" settlers, most of whom have little to no actual ancestry from the region, and no right whatsoever to forcefully displace the Palestinians. Regarding your last point, historically, the name Israel was simply the hebrew name for Palestine. It is entirely normal for a place to have different names in different languages. The only "physical" evidence of the land "belonging" to the followers of Judaism at the expense of the Palestinians, is that some imaginary deity said so thousands of years ago. As claims to land go, it is ludicrously weak.
