a lot o people are buying clay utensils. I had made a short trip to Kerala and my friends in Mumbai demanded me to get them Kerala style Uruli utensil in clay. My Goan catholic friend uses it to make all her fish curries only in the clay pot. Each one of them is using it on an everyday basis in their homes. Even in my home I cook Kadhi, south indian style curries in clay pot. I even make a fermented probiotic in clay pot which is the healthiest way to make it. So saying that India does not have a market for clay utensils is wrong. I and my friends have atleast 3 clay pots in our homes and we use it quite often. We use wooden spatulas for clay pots as metal spatulas will scrape the clay. If taken care of clay utensils can last you for quite some years till the clay wears off. I am sure every home has atleast 1 clay utensil whether it is in the form of a Matka for cooling water or pots for cooking or mugs for tea or coffee. These guys only need to reduce their price as clay pots are easily available for under Rs. 500. and make it easily accessible in cities. if every utensil store has a clay pot section which clearly mentions that it is strictly only clay and no chemicals used, this product will definitely sell.

Actually they were my competitor on etsy and I also did upscale on sales. But there USP is packaging in export, don't know how there breakage is just 3%. Also mitti name is not preferable as there majority profit generating market is non Hindi speaking.

Nice chemistry among them. Good and humble pitchers. To me, they should not dilute equity in this stage cz their business is running well and as mostly it is export oriented, they can make money easily (I've noticed their pricing in usd). What they need is marketing. Probably they can make a good marketing by coming to Shark Tank, but they need more and must grab the Indian market as the significance of such earthen utensils can be valued by Indians mostly. Anyways Grt job...🙏💝
