I'm a Sett main and I LOVE THIS NEW SERIES... in a fundamental stand-point. On the mechanical side, what you do with Sett is just spam autos while making sure to not cancel them with Q, and very important, DON'T SPAM E IF THEY ARE STILL IN RANGE, as E is an almost guaranteed hit of a 70% or 100% Grit W, using W in short trades will be problematic against certain match-ups that can completely run you down if you use W unproperly... Hope anybody can learn from what I've written or even correct me if I wrote something foolish and if Alois ever reads this, let me know !

Another tip never use e on darius before he uses his e unless you are super fed or in teamfight because he will be able to auto w auto q then when you try to escape on 4 bleed he will pull you back and you are screwed. In sett vs darius who ever uses e first loses the trade most of the time.

BTW Quick sett tip, Sett's E has more range if you angle it for the corners, you would have had the WW in midlane if you had that

Just some tips, its not necessarily ur w usage but ur e usage that you should look at, when u fought lvl 1 if you had held e for another 0.2s or aimed it to hit the minions and garen you would have gotten the stun and double aa which kills him. Whenever Garen q'd you u pulled to get a good trade but you should be standing in a way that allows you to always have access to your stun. If you are going to w have 0 hesitation, pretty much will always need to e + w combo immediately chained together otherwise u leave room for a flash or zhonyas. Otherwise been looking forward to seeing some Sett content

Some Sett tips! Always try to trade with autos before using E, granted into ranged champions it’s almost impossible, the idea will make them bait their movement ability. The goal of Sett lane is get as many autos within abilities. An ideal trade combo would look like AAx2 E AAx2 QQ W. When they have a lot of mobility you’ll have to start with E and Q or you’ll want to save your E for an empowered W.

I made a pretty interesting build for sett that actually worked well if i do say so myself, you go warmog-heartsteel(at this point u deal 0 damage)-titanic hydra(u already deal damage)-lvl 2 boots(ones u need)-botrk/steraks(depending on the matchup) - and finish with navori quickblades(infinite w).

Need to use w after your e, the slow forces a dash or flash. If you stun with e then immediately w it’s guaranteed to land. W is good to use after r as well if you have enough grit because of the massive slow.

Quick Sett tip: When dealing with ranged champions, it's best to save your abilities. Think of your R like a gap closer, using it on the support or tank. Save your W and E until after you ult because the aoe has a massive slow.

Quick Sett tip: You can maximize your W damage by tanking tower shots during an all-in. Sett is one of the few champions that does MORE damage while diving you.

Something doing 1.4k damage in two autos doesn't say much of anything. A skill could do 20k damage take 20s to charge or require that you have 20k gold or only be able to be used once per game, or old be available after 30minutes. Just doing 1.4k doesn't really mean anything without context.

I think most the trades u r losing is bc of bad usage of w, and another point is like sett doesnt really want to buy resistences items bc of how his passive work, if u want to get a bit tankier try always to get hp + ad items, like sterak, suserano, u can go black cleaver, u can go sunder sky, etc

I have been mainly playing sett for the past 3-4 months atleast, and i have no idea how to climb, im around diamond 3 mmr, my botlane ints, and as sett i kinda have now way to kill them. Anyone has any tips on what should i do? (I tried taking ghost to get adc but then my lane is weaker, tried taking ignite to win lane hard but that wasnt enough aswell...)

If anyone knows whats happening id like help, when i queue up and wait the time for it to find a match it seemingly receives the match found message and just doesnt show it, but when the timer for the player to press accept goes out i get the match found with a full timer cirkle for like 1/2 a sec and then the game gives me the "*player-name* has declined the match" i usually ignore it since i doesnt always happen it shows as normal 50% of the time and i get a cooldown the other 50% for declining 3 games in a row since when it happens once it usually goes several times in a row
