Have you raised your enamel piece in order for the bezel height to fit? If so, what did you use? Thank you!

Yes I often do raise the enamel in the bezel. I mainly use plastic of different thicknesses that I have salvaged from packaging and covers from old notebooks or files. Traditionally boxwood shavings were used but these swell if they get wet which could damage the enamel. Raising the enamel gives it a more substantial feel and also allows for the bezel to be used again if the enamel has to be removed for any reason as the resulting damage can easily be accommodated.

Bezel rollers are available from many tool outlets and are inexpensive. This is an example of such a tool. www.cooksongold.com/category_select.jsp?channel=uk&query=Bezel+roller. I think the technique is really important because the angle you use it at must be one that if it slips it will skate downwards and away from any potential harm to the enamel. With polishing I will work to improve my filming set up but I am using a Foredom Polishing Motor

Sorry can’t edit and I pressed send too early. The Foredom Polishing Motor is bench mounted and I have a very old swansdown mop on one end which I use the White Luxi polish. The mop is very worn and soft. I use a firm pressure and finally I polish from the top so any edges of the bezel are polished and rounded. Hope this helps.

Hello Linda, thanks a lot for the tutorial, could you please tell us what's the commercial name of the roller bezel you use or where can we buy one. Also it would be very interesting to see you in the process of polishing, see your tools, etc... Thank you! 🤗💕
