Dale we discussed this set a year ago when we talked personally about my Beaver trapping issues. This is 1 set you described to me in detail along with many others. But I've used this set at least 1 time on a dam on each different property I've set. Usually there are at least 4 dams on a property and set different type dam sets on each 1 of them. The success rate of this set you described is 2nd in highest producing catch rate sets of the 11 different dam sets I use. The only down fall of it is when your in stained/murky water and trying to find the 2nd drop-off above the dam. Always carry extra clothes and another set of chest waders in vehicle. Cause I've went swimming more than I care to count due to sinking in mud. We all know that the steep drop-off isn't to far on the other side of the shelf. But the 2nd shelf is never as fir as the 1st shelf, in my experiences anyways. You can use the 1st shelf also but I think the Beavers see/smell the dead one under the shallower water easier. I use at least 7ft of swiveled cable on connibears also but after the 2nd catch of the 1st shelf they tend to shy away from the dam without repairing it. The sets you put out here on the www. are a great way to raise your check from the fur buyer for sure. I GREATLY APPRECIATE all you have done for my success in the Beaver Trapping Lifestyle. Keep up the AWESOME VIDEOS when you get free time to make them. By the way I'm with you when it comes to Summer heat. You can bring me winter on at any time now. I've had my fill of this summer heat crap, bring on the snow and ice I'm ready!!! LOL

I know from experience if its cold enough, that 330 will freeze in if you don't submerge it, rendering it inoperable. I'll never make that mistake again.
