Arsonist has got to be my all time favorite role in mafia games. The out of nowhere killing of everyone is just the best. I really wish the mod had an animation for it like the whole map going in flames or something. Would be sick.

Arsonist would have been better if it ignited the players proximity to the Arsonist and caused the victim to die 5 seconds later. Meaning the Arson has to douse everyone & then very blatantly chase everyone down. Victims on fire could spread the fire to other victims, making the play to ignite in a crowded situation to avoid Jackal/Imposters/Sheriff from killing the Arson to save the round

It works in the original game Town of Salem because there are detective roles that can check you and see you're arsonist/killer roles can know you're arso if they attack you. No way to tell here at all.

@@TheHigherSpace There's just no good way to balance it. It's basically just a task win but one person can do it. What makes task win balanced is that EVERYONE has to do their tasks, which most of the time just doesn't happen. All it does is give a time limit for each game based on cooldown of arsonist.

ToS arsonist is even better. In ToS you have to quietly douse enough of the town and not arise suspicion from the town investigative roles, so when you finally ignite and half of the lobby just dies and everyone is left scrambling it's more fun.

A cool role that could be added is a crew mate that takes their killer with them. For example if a imposter kills them the imposter will also die. Another role this one for the imposters. Is one where the imposter has 10 seconds to kill someone or they’ll die, with 60 second intervals. I don’t have names for these roles I’m just not good at naming things but I do believe they’ll be super cool additions to the game.

I actually think it would be really nice to have an impostor that, after dying, can see all the roles and tell his partner. The big downside would be that venting is disabled and kill cooldown is 3 times as long as the regular impostor. This way its actually really hard to get yourself voted out due to suspicion, to balance out the power that is gained by the partner dying. The ideal strategy for crewmates and neutral roles is to effectively not kill that impostor untill its absolutely neccesary.

There was a channel way back all they did was make new Among Us roles, one of them was the Arsonist, and when they set the fire you saw a fire animation consume the whole map and kill everyone. - It wasn't violent or gross or anything, just cartoonish flames.
