I'm a new heli guy myself, this is basic and extremely important information. Thanks and keep up the good work.

I need help with aligning my blades, i aligned the swash plate already "eye balled" but i am unsure how to align the blades correctly using the pitch gauge. What i did was i put my 450 on TH HOLD and adjusted the blades to 0 pitch using the gauge. I that the correct way to align the blades or..........?

do you have to put CA on the flybar paddle? or do you just leave it?

Hello. You do not fix the flybar axis?

you stated that you have crashed quite a bit. in viewing this video on the blade tracking looks like the main shaft may be slightly bent. what do you think?

I like your video the best. I was trying to see where you made the adjustment to lower the red blade on the tracking. This is my problem, I don't know which linkage to adjust to raise or lower the blade. Can you close video this? Thanks for the lessons-T

@speedstakerguy real heli Blades pretty much tracked the same way. Tracking tape, and some use eyeball, Others a machine/camera that does what a previous poster said, like the Cadu.. Which then tells you which pitch control rod to adjust

Nice Video.. I noticed that your heli seams to be shaking rather mouch as you spin up.. I have just repeared my t-rex after my first crash. After i adjusted the blade tracking i noticed that the heli was shaking just like yours. Why is that? and is it normal?
@JamieElvisGass11 жыл бұрын
Hey friend, I did the same thing one time and one blade broke off. The heli luckily went away from me at a thunderous thrust. I could have slit my throat.. Always track in the air...

dangg i wonder how hard it is to track the blades on a real size helicopter
@14cyproit1415 жыл бұрын
extremely good job, but on my DX6i Blade 400 transmitter, i just do everything you've done, with my transmitter, in less that 3 minutes. Simples ;)

I've seen a guy break his finger with his trex doing it that way. His finger slipped off, got caught between the flybar and a link and CRACK!

You don't hover to check tracking and you certainly don't hold the heli. Doesn't matter what size it is. You spin it up till it gets "light-footed" and look at it from the side. If you can't get that far to the ground, put it on a table.
@pitotoy0717 жыл бұрын
if your viewers cannot perform an eye level hover, the safe way to do blade tracking is grab a friend to watch the blades while the pilot is mainly condentrating to hover the bird. make sense mate!

NEVER STOP BLADES WITH THE TIP OF YOUR FINGER!!! This is INSANE! You stop the blades with your open palm down and your fingers curved up. Also, I wouldn't use electrical tape as it would add extra weight to the blades. Go buy tracking tape. There is also a way to put the tape on but I can't draw here.

mate'' it look's like your feathering shaft is bent '' also quite a lot of vibration when you spool up the rotor head' ... just saying ' ! ok.

its very dangerous to plug up the heli before the radio. the heli can pick up a tv signal from somewhere else and take off. always turn the radio on first.
@pitotoy0717 жыл бұрын
still unsafe. it's not the size of the heli, it's the rpm in the motor when it's turning.

the safe and proper way to do blade tracking is to fly the bird.

the finger :P
@mainlymusicman16 жыл бұрын
you never explained what you were doing when you lowered the blade, you just concentrated on showing how to unplug the battery and plug in the motor... duh???
@pitotoy0717 жыл бұрын
what you did there was really dangerous (blade tracking). you shouldn't be holding the helicopter when spooling up. that's not the proper way to do blade tracking.
@corona000716 жыл бұрын
This is a very unsafe practice of holding a heli while spooling it up in front of your face! What are yo going to do if you have a mechanical failure? Like a ball link popping off or a glitch on your TX, RX and decides to go full elevator or aileron? Also did you plug your heli before your TX? Hope you have good medical insurance! Take this video down please.
