Thanks for explaining the difference. I think I should probably be team setting spray, but not really knowing what I’m doing, I do use Charlotte Tilbury airbrush powder in lieu of setting powder.

If you like the final look with the powder, and it helps give your makeup last longer, you know exactly what you're doing! If you find the finished look is a little cakey or 'dry' looking, spritz a little setting spray over your powder to 'melt' it into your skin. Good luck!

Hi Jodi! Great tutorial! I always thought you should use both setting sprays and powder. I still haven’t found a powder that doesn’t make my makeup appear cakey. I have so many and I did like the Givenchy prism libre pink powder( but it’s all gone now) . I can’t find anything close. Setting sprays I’ve used is the Urban Decay , O/S, the L’Oréal and the elf. Believe it or not, I liked the elf one better than the others. Thank you so much for your valued opinions.💕😊🇨🇦🙋‍♀️

Hi Brenda! I love these recommendations, thanks for sharing. ELF has some very good products, I'm not surprised you like their setting powder. I liked the Urban Decay All Nighter until I read the ingredients. The alcohol dries my skin too much. Glad you enjoyed the video!

I use both powder and spray depending on the weather. Laura Mercier Ultra Blur setting powder is my current favorite. Also, I found 2 k beauty brands to add to my collection of elf and Milani powders and sprays: I’m MeMe Tone Up in pink and So Natural All Day Skin Fixer (both at Amazon). The spray is especially good. I haven’t tried the Patrick Starr spray yet, but from the reviews I’ve seen the So Natural might be a dupe.

@@JodiMannes I have a few different ones, my favourite for a tiny bit of glow is the Cover Girl, I also like the Fenty Beauty one and the Clarins one and the Makeup Revolution one. Next on my list to try is the Makeup Forever and the Elf 😉

After I apply my concealer, I spray Charlotte Tilbury let it set. Then I go in with setting powder. I finished the rest, blush , bronzer, highlighter....then I go in with Mac fix plus to marry all makeup together. I put on my lipstick, liner....then I finish with the spritz of Charlotte Tilbury again . As a mature woman of 54 this keeps foundation and concealer from seeping into fine lines.

You know I wear tinted moisturizer/sunscreen so I don’t use spray all over for that. Both are bad to settle into fine lines so I dab a tiny amount of powder in those areas. I then go back in a few minutes later with some CT setting spray on a sponge and go over where I’ve put powder. It works for me. My internet is still off and on since the storm. @@JodiMannes I fared much better than some. I never lost water or power, just my internet. One life taken, power outages, etc. It was an unnerving time, to say the least. They thought the dam in our county was going to break but by the grace of God it held. Asheville NC, which is not that far from me, was destroyed. Literally the entire town was under water. I’m so sad for all the people affected by this but I also feel so blessed and thankful that our county was not awfully bad considering the big picture.

Dry skin, no oil breakthrough, so team Spray all the way! MILK Hydro Grip and the new NARS Light Reflecting setting sprays don’t have alcohol. Nor does the ELF new Power Grip setting spray. 👍❤️🇨🇦

Thanks for sharing, I haven't tried the new Nars Setting Spray, so glad it's alcohol free!
