Setting Temperature Limits on Quick Closing Valves

All of our Gerber ceramic disk valves come equipped with a temperature limiting device.

Are all shower valves the same I.D. or do they come in differant sizes? Can I use a differant cartridge in a Glacier Bay valve???

What if i need More hot than the limiter allows?

Take out the limiter. The faucet should go back together and work perfectly without it. Giving you the full amount of hot water available.

@@jalynkay4113 Ive done that. But the water doesnt get hotter... it actually turns off and starts the water again.... cold

even with maximum range, the hot water is not hot enough. You remove the red part, now gradually turn the handle counter clockwise until you get the desired temperature. To place the red plastic part in you have to grind them until it fits. Don’t remove the red plastic completely. Without the red stopper, your handle will swing an almost complete circle. The water will go in order no water- cold- hot - no water- cold.

I've got an approximately 15 year old Gerber single handle shower control that wont stop dripping from the shower head and I can not figure out how to change the cartridge. Can you help.

Used a Dremel to cut off a portion of the red part so that it goes further towards hot and before it actually starts limiting the flow again. Getting hotter water now. If it weren't such a pain in the neck, I'd replace them with Moen...They stand behind their product for life!
