5:50 does he not know that because of sbmm almost everyone has bad connections? Nero made a video about it how you can be next to a server but the game will still connect you across the country. And activisions servers are fucken terrible

Fully aware. But in multiplayer, there should be enough players to stay below 30 ping usually if you’re on fiber, which he isn’t. There’s quite a few factors in play, but I did speak on how the matchmaking system directly affects your connection, which was a rather large part of my discussion in the original post.

@@expel brother his internet speeds are good enough to get a good ping what are you talking about? sure fiber would help but it’s not like he has shit internet. every other MP game i play i always get better connections compared to cod. thats almost everyone’s experience. i have similar upload and download speeds as caf.

⁠@@casuco_0888 Feel free to check my larger response to the video. As someone that’s had internet issues for my entire life, I’ve learned more about this stuff than I frankly care to know. Please understand, ISP, connection type (coax vs fiber), location, ping, and upload / download ALL come into play. Many people think it’s all about upload or download, but it’s just not. He didn’t really give much info in the video about all that I mentioned. Without that, there’s no way to know if it’s his connection or the server. I’m that annoying guy that knows everything the internet guy is talking about when they show up. I’m also the guy that makes sure every single detail about the installation goes perfectly. Rest assured, I probably know more than you realize.

I am pretty sure SBMM works only if you play ALONE. I have a friend, we mostly played MW3 as 2 premades, and we have more than 2WL (i have 2.5 WL) by playing DOMINATION ONLY. We almost always win. We skipped BO6 tho, so i can only speak for MW3.

I would like to add that I bet EOMM goes even further than most people think.I really feel the game punishes people who play on high sensitivity vs. people who play on low sensitivity.I have no way to prove this, but it's part of that feeling you get when they added sbmm and eomm to the series.Something just don't feel right.

I think that's mostly just the aim assist not working correctly because of server de-sync.

Whish I could play on 50 and under pings. Here in Hawaii we play on 90 plus pings and if ur really, really lucky u'll get into a 72 plus pings.

I watched this before x reaction. What you need to do is start a new account. And do what you was doing but do it a little more thorough. I did this and man after swapping from my main to the Smurf it’s like old cod. Like random ppl. Some even some better some worse than me. I say just make a new account every two weeks

I think maybe people got lost in what I was trying to say about ping, which has become apparent from responses on mine as well as your video (here). 30-50ms ping is absolutely fine for casual gamers, and really makes no difference in 90% of lobbies. However, if you’re someone like myself or, in this case, Caffrey, then I’d expect you to have some kind of Fiber connection and be close to a Call of Duty server. You note in the video being close to a server, but not having fiber will directly affect your ping. This is because of the difference between coax and fiber connection. The reason fiber is so much better is because the glass connection makes it nearly instant - they’re basically just moving light (think about the speed of light vs electricity). This isn’t a completely correct way to explain the connection, but an easier way to understand the disparity. Of course, this isn’t necessary in the slightest, but just an expectation of most serious content creators. Not to say you aren’t serious, just that a lot of people put focus on having the very best they can to ensure it all comes down to skill in their games. In fact, Ninja has spoken on this a lot when it comes to Fortnite build vs zero build competitive. Apologies if this came across poorly. As for times with packet burst, sadly COD telemetry tends to be entirely wrong when it comes to connection (and sometimes performance). Appreciate you watching my reaction. I know I can sometimes seem harsh, but that’s not my goal. I just try to be straightforward and share as much information as I can. Apologies if my tone didn’t match my goal of being helpful. 🤘🏼 As for “skill rating / EOMM” discussion, I think what you’re saying is fair. My point was more about showing that you actually aren’t interested in engaging with those lobbies. I don’t think the skill rating is truly working on “skill level” alone. I think there’s a bit more to it, but we’re left without all the information due to them wanting to hide things. There’s no evidence anything is getting manipulated in real time. Testing has been done on this for years. There’s no way to prove anything for this, or disprove anything for this. That’s why it will always be a topic people point to. However, we need a lot more info than we have, otherwise it’s ALWAYS based on feeling or things that could be random. Randomness tends to be a massive factor in what people see as Skill Based Damage, sadly. My guess is that most of our issues derive from a poor matchmaking system that prioritizes only

Might have to see if there are fiber options in my area haha. I remember Ninja saying he won't play anything but the "no build" mode because he got tired of playing against people who would literally move to be next to a server. I know there's probably no real time manipulation I was just throwing it out there. The tech for doing that is already in the game it's just a question of whether or not they use it. Ya I suppose the skill rating could have more factors baked in than just skill. You're right though it's impossible to know. Unfortunately we're just left in the dark and speculate.
