yeah i don't know, I have the FT1 on my head right now and think they're a tremendous value but to outright say its the best bass of any headphone? no. Its an odd thing to say considering he has an HE6SE, which I also have and there is absolutely no chance in hell the FT1 matches the HE6se in bass quality

@@kamikaze5537 he6se has flat bass and subbass itself isnt particularly strong, with EQ it sounds much better. The FT1 requires no EQ and sounds really good and has better "dynamics" "physicality" whatever words you want to use to describe it. He6se is still really good for its price, I personally already upgraded to abyss diana mr which is an upgrade across the board in bass quality compared to he6se but its way more expensive too

Depending on the source the sound can sometimes come far to the side and from behind with the he 400 se that I actually turn my head around on instinct ^^^this has yet to happen for the FT1. The bass is obviously better, I think the wooden cups add to the decay of sounds, not sure how much reverb is induced though (well it's always on on "gaming" has you can add positional cue with some reverb) might be a close call for some games; i ll have to try with better sound engines like pubg to make up my mind. I do not like them. The "bass" is all over the place. The treble and detail is fine but the mids are too "in your face". The top part is too thin and not very comfortable for a bold guy like me. If you want a cheap pair of headphones that sound better than almost all headphones under 200 just get a pair of Roland RH-5. Just change the earpads to a pair of around the ear pads, improve the top a bit to make it more comfortable and you will have a pair of cheap headphones that sound like anything else. Try them. They cost a bit over 25 bucks but they sound like 500$ cans.

@beflabbergasted325 8 күн бұрын
@@Image-X I pre bought the Fiio`s because everyone was making good reviews abut them and they did look good on the pictures and videos. I should have known better. What do I have? I have a pair of old Stax SR-Lambda headphones, I have the Roland RH-5, I have a pair of Master & Dynamic MW65 headphones. I had a pair of the Sony MDR-R10 for quite a few years when my life was going ok and I heard the Sennheiser HE-1 more than once and for more than a few minutes. Also had some B&o,s some Focal, some Audio Technica,s some Koss, some Beyerdynamics, etc, etc. So what is your point? The comment I made was not a "review" per se on the headphones it was a honest opinion on how disappointed I was after I got the headphones myself. They cost me more than I can afford at the moment and they were not what I expected, at all. Also, why go to the trouble of making a wood set of cans with so many holes around them? With an additional port at the top. Really strange approach. The loudspeaker drivers themselves actually look very cool but over all, it was not what I expected for 160 or 170 euros or whatever they did cost me. Can`t remember. I am old. It happens. So. Again. What is your point? Do you think I do not know what a pair of good headphones are supposed to sound like? Although audio quality is very subjective. For me, a good sounding pair of cans ain`t these ones. Oh. and I have a pair of headphones which I never heard. They were given to me second hand and I like to look at them because they have a VU meter on each side. They are called the OV-1 s but I never got around to listen to them because I tend to stay away from wireless cans. Maybe they will positively impress me, maybe not. I rather not know. Because if they do not sound good, I wont have the same "admiration" for the cans. This way, I can look at them every day as they stand over one of those Mexican calaveras and it just looks cool.

@@Image-X They are been driven by a Vincent hybrid amp that is connected by a fairly good DAC. And, yes, I did let them play for many hours. And I was not talking about that small vent alone. Around the speaker itself they have a series of what looks like fairly large "vents" covered by some form of porous thin material. Btw, I did try them with a Miltra OTL-8XT tube headphone amp and another Vincent full transistor amp with very similar results. You can not imagine how much I wanted them to sound good to me. They just didn`t. I believe I let them play on their own on a stand for a couple of days. So I am going to give you the benefit of a doubt and let them play for another couple of days before trying them out again. But, so far, I am very displeased with the purchase. I listen to a lot of Jazz (mostly smooth Jazz), Chill out, Soul music and a lot of TV to avoid bothering the adjacent room at night and I never listen to them very loud. I listen to them to about the same volume the Dynaudio speakers run when I am listening to music without headphones. I have to increase the volume of the amp to a bit over 1/4 when I am listening to the headphones but, that is it.

@ If you are listening to them at low volume/power…. how do you expect the giant 60mm driver to perform well? Turn them up! My pair will be here in three days and will be powered from a Fiio M17. I fully expect good sound and I currently own Sennheiser HD660S, Sennheiser HD6XX, Fostex TH-00, Focal Elegia, ATH M50, ATHM40.
