Very beautiful! I'll definitely have to check out her book. "A lot of folks would argue this is too much clutter!" Yet I find it interesting that these designers, and people with affluence in general, have such a thing for knick knacks. Rich people love collecting stuff!

life is about beauty, beautiful things arent just material items to people but a way to cultivate their beautiful dream world. its not about money. the whole minimalist thing is so tragic. sure, its less to manage but is anything memorable?

@@caligulalonghbottom2629 Agree! To these designers, all of these acquired "knick knacks", are collectables, and keepsakes. They are beautiful, and have meaning. I understand, and agree with the tenants minimalism, keeping only things of value, but a lot of folks take it too far. For many, it means stripping themselves every last bit of personality, and character.

Jaw dropping inspiration for an advocate of designing outside of the box. I have a collection of 1950's Morton spice tins that were used by my grandmother and mother and I am now going to use on the Thanksgiving table. Thank you for your great videos. Bonjour !!! You have no idea how nice it was to see all those beautiful flowers on that table while having so much snow falling here in Québec city - How good for the spirit it was : like a touch of spring on the table. I find the idea of spreading different flowers in different containers as a center piece, it is totally lovely ! I often use fruits on my center piece but the idea of using vegies (which have great colors) is totally new and wonderful to me. Thank you for sharing and for the great work you do - much love to you both. P.s.: the title of the video could have been : Adding joy to your table !

Thank you for bringing such lovely homes to our attention. However I do often find in these videos that I might be missing the tail end of what the interviewee is trying to say. It leaves me wanting to hear more from the home owner. The shows host dominates the conversation by adding to the conversation before the home owner is finished with her sentence. I can understand her excitement but I do like it when creative artists speak with more freedom so that you get spontaneous insights into their mind. Thank you
