it is great to see that people are still setting up new dark rooms and doing what I consider to be real photography. There is noting to beat seeing your own pictures appear from a blank piece of paper

OMG! This is so cool! My darkroom is my bathroom XD It's not ready yet, I bought the enlarger, some friends gave me some bottles and sinks, I'm buying paper, etc. I did part of the work to block the light from outside and it's in a way I can remove it to continue using as a regular bathroom (some velcro on the window). I'll keep watching your videos, you're my source of inspiration

Awesome! Have been looking for a Labortor 54 for home for my LF, so hard to find even though I'm up the road from the old Durst HQ! If you find one, let me know!!!

Lovely! If I may ask, where did you get your darkroom sink? I am trying to set up my own darkroom but finding a sink in Sweden is really hard. I am looking for large format and wetplate.

Find a plexiglass supplier and just mark your own -- saves money!!!! I'd suggest 1/4" - 1/2" plexi depending on the volume weight.

rmrfboy I think the term is "invest" not "burn", it's what most people do setting up a business.

Lina, you are so correct. Although I'm still looking for a 4x5 enlarger; I was able to set up my entire (current) darkroom for about $150 U.S., and that was everything and it was in incredible condition. I have had darkrooms since 77. Before my last move I (like a fool) sold everything so had to start from the beginning. Took me awhile to find a new set up to process up to MF; and took over a large walk in closet in my home, right next to the bathroom. To get something going doesn't take someone a full studio space. I don't think people realize you probably didn't start with all of this right out of college. I'm sure it took you awhile to get to this point, and you have had to work at it just a little. If you want something bad enough, a person can get there. Now; this 4x5 enlarger search here in the U.S. is driving me crazy, but the good thing is it shows how popular film is becoming again which in a way is a great thing. As always, love watching your videos. You make them interesting, you are unassuming and pretty modest on top of it.
