I like my seat to be low. At the highest pedal position, my thighs are almost horizontal to the ground. I feel I have more control when riding over rough stuff. So far, I have no issues when riding on flat roads even at this position. But on my singlespeed MTB, I have my ride height as per your recommendation in this video, with the knees slightly angled at 6 o'clock crank position. Enjoy all your videos. Kipidup!!! (It's a Malaysian slang for 'keep it up' 😄)

Thanks, I'll try to keep this series going :) That does sound fairly low, but if it works, it works. I pretty much arrived at my seatheight by keeping on lowering the seat until I found that it didn't help me to get over obstacles anymore and kept it there. On flat I don't notice the less efficient pedaling much, but uphill I notice that with a higher seat I could stay in the seat longer which saves some energy.

@@unicyclebasics Yes. You're right. A higher sear height is more efficient. I can feel it on my MTB but not so on my muni. I'm quite baffled by that. But then, I'm still learning the unicycle so maybe my feel will change over time.

Thank you Finn for this new video. Before, I rod often on a 24" and now I try too stay on a 27,5" for my progression and to learn to use the break. What do you think about this choise ?

I like 27.5" as a "do it all" size. It's pretty good at rolling over roots, but still maneuverable. I think switching up unicycles (if you have multiple) can be very fun, but especially if you are practicing a specific skill I'd stay on one setup. That way you don't have to learn the skill and get used to the different setup at the same time.
