this is great content - I am learning to use the QL1 for work, but the music is absolutely distracting. I understand the desire to have it in there, maybe bring it down significantly so it is barely there - just enough to keep a person's ear going. in MHO though - it's simply not necessary. this is a training video and I appreciate simply being able to hear the teacher clearly and understand what's going on.

What is the process when using two consoles and a RIO. Example FOH and a monitor board. Is there anything I should be aware of? Can each board have independent gain control? Thank you

Double check, but I think if you want to factory reset the console, you only need to hold B button, instead of A and B.

If you are going to use one rio 1608 and a QL1 mixer, can you patch the primary and secondary ports directly from the QL1 to the Rio in Redundant mode without using the network switch?

Nope. It will still be a single daisy chain network.

Yes, you can. The network switch in between is helpful if you want to use the Dante Controller or Multitrack recording with Nuendo Live for example.
