Two more things: 1. On the Flash Drive, on the computer - create a Folder called Apps - then place aurora, dashlaunch, xellaunch and xexmenu into it. This way you just have to copy this "Apps" folder to the internal harddrive - it's all in one go then and you don't have to create a folder on the xbox - it's much easier and faster when you do it before on the computer. 2. He forgot to copy the content folder to the internal harddisk. The rest is fine.

Why would he need to copy the content folder? The only thing stored there was XeXMenu in Demo format, and that was copied to the hard drive anyway. The only purpose of that folder is to interface with the regular Xbox 360 dashboard, and therefore allow XeXMenu to run on the system. Why would it need to be copied, when not only are the contents useless (due to the other XeXMenu) but also have already been copied?

Thanks for the video. Just paid someone to RGH my 360 and they put on some type of firmware that was all blue and got you onto some weird version of xbox live, but I wasn't interested in that. hi mr mario, i cannot describe how to thank you, this was my first time getting my hands on a 360, modding and playing the 360. and it has been a journey from my modding experience, there has been some set backs and lots of confusion and desperation, for example i really cant copy the same steps as explained here simply because my dash is outdated, my kernel is outdated etc. it took me 4 days to finally getting everything setup from just freestyle 3 to aurora just like this video. thank you mr mario.

I got a weird thing going on mate. When I format the USB, it is not the same as yours. I get a hidden folder called XBOX360 and a few Data files inside of it. @@MrMario2011 I managed to get around it by FTP'ing the files to the Internal drive. I then copied the files as guided to HDD1 and its all installed etc, set the paths etc, set the ini. But Aurora does not want to play ball. Just says you need to download the game again. For context , I dont think Im on the latest dash, if anything I think its very old. Here is the info given in DashLaunch: Board: Jasper Flash: Jasper Type: JTAG Kernal: 2.0.14719.0 Do I need to update you think for this to work, or go with another launcher etc?

@@MrMario2011 Fear not! For I have been on a journey to the darkest regions of the 360 It was my dash like you said. I had to go around the houses by FTP'ing to get it set up. Aurora cant run on that early dash. So I learned how to flash my Nand with the latest dash etc and now I'm all up and running with a clean install and a 2TB drive ready to rip all my games onto. Thank you so much for the help with the HW, SW, and all involved in these videos. You have well and truly got my systems up and running to the max... just the way I like it. Plus leaned muchos about the intricacies of the 360 along my merry travels too. God speed MrMario.... godspeed.

Uhhh in the Hidden "Folder" part, All I Get Is A Folder Called "Xbox360" it took all the space on the USB stick, but i got a solution, i just set the minimum Xbox Useable storage on the stick, i made the Xbox only use like one GB, so I have the rest of it free to use, now the problem is with the "Content" Folder, Where TF Do I Get That ?

Mario, the folder you select for the path is scan level 0, not 1. So you can subtract 1 from all your scan depths =). Love ya bro!

I honestly hate aurora. One thing I really liked about freestyle was the tons of different skins for it. Aurora doesn't have skins per say. Different backgrounds and subtle color changes, but it still looks the same. I love being able to have my dash either be blades, nxe, xbox one style, etc. Aurora doesn't have any skins that are different.

Internal memory unit. The on-board 4GB storage. They are prone to failure and disabling this (it's a setting in JRunner) will prolong the life of your 4GB Corona console.

@@calebb9863 there's no such thing. There's 4gb, and 16mb nand. It only needs to be done on 4gb, because the nand and the emmc are one in the same. With the Trinity 4gb, the 4gb emmc is separate and if it dies, it won't affect your nand. So, if you have a Corona, and it has on-board storage (i.e., you see something in your storage menu WITHOUT any hdd connected), yes, it's highly recommended you disable it.

Orignal Xbox emulation is where RGH/JTAG’s shine. Unfortunately the emulation scene is pretty stagnant. But between the XBOX, 360, and XBLA catalog u can get ur DC fix.

If anyone who is trying to install XeXmenu and has a message that renders it corrupt and unreadable when trying to launch it: I had the same issue and, to save anyone else who has this problem a couple hours of research, you need to RGH your Xbox for this to work. Otherwise it will not run and be read as a “corrupt file.”

Thanks for the tutorial, way easier than figuring out which tool to use to copy from USB to internal storage 😅. I've freshly RGH3(ed) one Trinity console and installed XeXMenu, DashLaunch and Aurora. Everything works fine. One thing I've noticed is temperature difference. My is around 78°C while in Aurora, yours is much cooler when looking at this video. I cleaned the original thermal paste (which has mostly dried out) and used MX4. Is my temperature normal for Trinty boards or I messed something up? Xclamp looked fine when I snapped it back on 🤔.

I just got my first rgh 360 and loving it. Backed up all my games but still can't get my added games to show up consistently in the cover flow. I'll do scan it'll show for little bit then if I go into a game or reboot it doesn't stay for some reason. I can still play them using file manager so I'm glad there there.

Currently I'm getting an iso download from the internet and will put it on my hdd to play. Update: the usb x file plays past the loading screen unlike hdd x file. For whatever reason it says 'something is wrong. Some data is missing' when I try to boot up XeXMenu 1.1. I've read on old forum threads that the solution is to just reinstall it but I've tried multiple times and it just didn't work. Somehot it works fine with XeXMenu 1.2, though.

Can someone explain to me the reason why I should use XexMenu 1.1 instead of XexMenu 1.2?

I tried to do this but my 360 doesn't create a content folder on my flash drive when I format it through the console. Instead of a hidden content folder, I get a massive 32 GB hidden Xbox 360 folder. Help?

Can you do a update on JTAG setting up would very appropriate it scored a JTAG 360 for real cheap just needs to be setup and I'm having trouble with it it's a second generation Xbox 360 I think it's one from before they added HDMI if it matters

help me how can i use my 1tb external hdd to my xbox360 jtag with freestyle dash 3 in internal hdd. i already formatted the external hdd to fat32 put couple of games nba and mortal kombat but the xbox 360 cannot read it. is there any folder or file do i need to put on external aside from games to make it work.? ty

Hello mr mario, the tutorial is very clear which i really appreciate! Its very hard to get by this type of video, but i encounter a rather strange issue being aurora just showing a black screen and not letting me control the xbox anymore , i would realy appreciate a response!
