Setting up automatic updates server and mods

I’ve followed this guide but it didn’t really work.. I have a few questions and one big problem! I wanted to check for updates every 30mins but it shuts the server down every 30mins now and won’t come back online. Everything was updated at that time and it just shuts the server down.. I also have steam web api enabled to make everything go smoothly. The server literally won’t come back unless I de-activate the auto update cycle.. Also: why does it need the update folder? Is this just for downloading and saving until the server restarts?

I have the same issue. I know it worked in the past, but now I had to disable it because it kept shutting down the server instead of just checking for updates (there weren't even any updates so don't know why the shutdown)

not sure if you ever check this or not but the issue i have been having with this is that even if there is not an update my server shuts down and does not come back up i have to force close asm and restart it myself

Thanks Jonny! I have a question. The shutdown messages aren't showing in game, is that a manual thing you have to activate or should it do it automatically?

make sure rcon is setup and enabled

believe Skies of Nazca is a mod map, probably why it caused a problem, too big a download for an example.
