Due to connect PLCSIM Advanced (Ethernet adapter) instance to SQL server, they HAVE TO be on different stations (PLC SIM on my laptop and SQL server on VM)?

They don't have to be, if they are on the same station you'd be hitting localhost on 127.0.0.1 rather than another machine.

Guys I got an interesting error , so when I enable the SQL. The code turn to 7002 which is completely normal but after 17s (yes I'd count and each time it's 17sec) it turns to the error code 8602, sub function status 80C6 in state 3 . Does anyone had an idea on how to fix this problem ?

Not really. As long as your VPN is set correctly the rest stays the same. You might need to use the VPN address of your server though

Sorry, I always received Error 8602- subfunction status 80C6. I tried to config again My SQL server and used PLC Sim Advance 2.0 to replace for PLC Simadvance 3.0 but It can't working. I will try to use hardware S7-1200 for project example. Thanks you

I'm afraid this will not work with My SQL, you'd need Microsoft SQL

It is my fault, I am using ms sql server with both plc simadvance and plc s7-1200 But I always have error 80C6

@@AutomationStation yup, it 's okay when I login user and try excute query statement. With PLC I 've checked but Port 1433 ( or other ports that setup for SQL) haven't worked. Next I will use wireshark to check connection between PLC and SQL server

Hi, I Can Access my database from other PC in Lan network and I saw they tranfer data through port TCP 1433 so I suppose that an error occurs when statement TCON begin in PLC
