I have used a happy planner for a while and I have been thinking of switching to a bullet journal. But because I have been so used to the flexibility of disc bound I decided to do a disc bound but use dot grid paper instead of preprinted monthly/weekly pages. So this video is perfect timing for me as I try to gather up supplies and ideas! I recently found your channel and subscribed because I really enjoy your content and you have such a calming voice which makes your videos a pleasure to watch!

I’m so happy you found my channel recently! My husband loves happy planner/disc bound planners. I really like how a ring/disc bound planner with dot grid insert pages is basically the best of both worlds - still essentially the same experience as bullet journaling, but with the added flexibility :) I’m excited to use both this alongside my notebooks!

I have been using a 6 ring binder for years. I like to design my layouts on the computer and then print them right onto the paper! Just write in the dates and events and done.

OMG!!!! I'm so glad you're doing this! I was actually thinking about doing the 6 ring binder for myself here recently. I also want to thank your mom for this as well. I'm really looking forward to seeing what all you intend to do with this. Its almost as if the saying great minds think alike really applies here.... lol! Kay, these colors and theme is absolutely perfect, as they are my favorites as well.

One of my goals throughout the next few months/next year is to be able to afford a NOTIQ ring agenda like that. Hearing VJ talk about how you can be sophisticated and professional in a way t hat is meaningful to *you* was so enlightening for me and it's something that I already started discovering in my 30's and I still learned a lot and sometimes hearing how well grounded business owners are especially when the product is a luxury brand helps me *want* to save up. I ended up going with Erin Condren ring inserts but I'm tempted to just keep 2 months at a time in there to leave room for some bullet journal style long term collections but I'm not entirely sure yet.

That color palette is great. Some of my fave colors too. I used those spiral one year planners for a long time, but wanted the dashboards and habit trackers that a bullet journal allowed. I think my style is a mix of both. I set up the whole year in one journal, every weekly looks the same barring the different stickers each month. I don't have any long term collections, but have several pages of monthly dashboards for tracking monthly tasks, habits, what entertainment I'm consuming, etc.

I love the color scheme & the coverpage 😍 I'm already setup my 2025 bullet journal 🤗 My lineup (bujo for memory keeping & tracking + a dated planer for tasks) worked so well this year that I use the same system this year. But I know that I usually get bored after two years in a row 😅 So how knows what it will be in 2026...

I have a Daily Grind planner which is 10 rings and of course the Happy Planners, with 5, 7, 9, and 11 rings. My favmorite thickness covers are from the Daily Grind. My problem comes in when there us a space between the left and right sides which you dont get from a bound notebook. Also, since I have difficulty writing small, I tend to use the 10 rings or larger and the A5 stickers are a little small. I do really appreciate all of your videos and supportive comments...it makes my day when I listen to a replay with the wonderful, kind interplay and conversations.

That's interesting. I can't wait to see the rest of your setup. I plan to use the Sterling Ink B5 vertical; I'm excited about this change for 2025. I've been using an A4 bullet journal this year and love it! I have a lot of room to journal and do creative spreads. I use my bujo for daily pages, which has been helpful this year, so I plan to keep it for next year as a daily and use a vertical for my weeklies and catchalls.

I have been using a happy planner for many years now but I am leaning more towards a ringed planner and this one caught my eye. Thank you for making it seem simple and easy to set up. Not sure if I will purchase preprinted inserts or create my own pages.

omg ok now i really think i might have to include a ring planner somehow for my planner lineup for 2025. i have an old kikki k binder from my sister, but have not found a use for it yet. my yearly bullet journal (an archer and olive notebook) is still going strong though
