So I have harvested a lot of produce from my old soxx this past week and it was hands down my biggest kale. It most be a combo of air trimming of the roots and the fact that it’s watering effectively. If you want to grab the same kit I am using. So sorry about the road rash, hope you are healing well. Be careful Ashley, we need you to tell us about stuff. Garden Soxx! How about that! Can't wait to see the next video. Hope it works our great. I think it will! If the city gives you a hard time, consult an attorney and ask what you should tell the city. I think two strong arguments would be: 1. I'm growing food for my family; and 2. It's a lovely art installation that provides food for my family. I hope your city doesn't have anything at all to say about it. Have a great weekend Ashley!

Great alternative to useless lawn😊 thanks for sharing! I’ve been planting my front lawn with Seabuckthorn, small cherry trees, goji berry, comfrey, elderberry & many perennials for the past few years. I started by digging holes for them, then laid cardboard last year in between, have put soil, sawdust & compost to cover the area. I have potatoes, tomatoes, garden sorrel, etc. growing throughout this year to produce more soil coverage. Calendula flowers, day lily, hollyhock & bergamot dress it up a bit. The deer have been trimming things back a bit but it’s better than lawn grass. I want to try the garden Sox for borders!

I had to go back and rewatch because I thought I missed something - what is the sock made of and what is the advantage over just adding fresh soil right on the ground? I would be concerned about the sock falling apart over time and leaving behind rags in the garden that won't decompose.

The benefit is air pruning and zero wedding. I will do a video on the air pruning concept.I have a set on year two right now and have no signs of break down yet. These are actually used by market gardeners.

This morning, Atlantic Canada, walking the dog I noticed more than half of the Goldenrod has gone to seed already, thats weeks Early! Goldenrod is the last flowering fall weed the Bees fill up on before hunkering down for the winter, I can't believe its already done and only middle of August. Then, I stopped in my tracks, an apple tree , with at least half of the apples already ripe, fallen and on the Ground. Its been a weird season all the way around.

I don't understand what you said about folding the end over and adding more tape over that? What is that for? Totally confused about that part but the rest is great. I wish you had shown us how to install the black drip ends. Thanks for making this. My 4 x 8 kit is on its way now.

I've been wondering if plants are affected by lead contaminated water and whether it is safe to water plants with hose water if it contains heavy metals and impurities.

You would want to avoid it because it would affects your soil

@@GardeningInCanada thanks so much for the quick reply! I’m looking for a cost effective solution to plant my blueberries, raspberries, Saskatoon berries, and cherries.
