Ive set up boards many times, that grips just comes right off. No need to use a drill bit which could ruin the size of the holes for your hardware :P

Street Tip: you should leave a little gap between the grip where you set up for your flip tricks so when you do it in a tight area you can set your feet up much much faster expecaly when your doing it off something and its short I put a scratch right where I put my foot
