OK this is all about setting up your macros. Can you recommend a resource to connect my radio to N1MM and get the thing able to transmit?

Thanks for good information. I have this challenge. I do use my ham radio often, cw and ssb only. I operate sometimes from different qths. I don't do contesting and I prefer not to connect it to my radio. Is there a way setting up n1mm for basic manual use only?

Yes, I think the mode is called "General DX" or something like that. I'll check it out when I get home.

Great question! I tried ESM a couple times but keep referring back for some reason. I'll look to do a video on it!

Thank you for the video. I still have not got my head around why you would like to use your logbook and pc to work cw. May be I am missing something. By the way I now have a nomination for CWOPS by K0MD Scott so I am well chuffed and I have a few people who have said they sponsor me too and have had a few skeds. So thank you for getting me interested into cwops. The CWT is getting easier now for me so progress is been made. Still an interesting video even though I am old fashioned.

@@k9kj TJ. I have great news I am now a member of CWOPS, 3449. This is thanks to you, I had no interest in contesting and high speed CW. 20wpm 4 months ago was high speed for me. I was a SOTA, POTA and rag chewer cw operator. Your channel got me involved in the CWT on a Wednesday. This helped me increase my speed and I pushed my self to head read and ditch the pen. So thanks for your intoxicate enthusiasm for CW and for those who nominated and sponsored me I am a member of CWOPS.

Do you have a macro for when you only get part of the caller’s call sign while you are in run mode? For example something like “WB9?”

Excellent question! I do have one and was going to do a video on it, but I change F12 to the following: ! ? I know it looks weird.

@@k9kj the bands worked well tonight on 0300. Super crowded which is great. I enjoy seeing so many participants. Maybe we should try so2r one day. I’m sure the wire antennas being 20 ft apart would make it interesting 🤨
