Dad left ma an old LeBlond 10 inch swing quick change lathe with no rpm tag on it. I guess I'll need to find an rpm meter and experiment with the lever positions and hope I don't break anything.

In order to keep the cutting speed constant how the rpm of spindle should carry through the monitoring system?
