Great job , this looks like a good motor , a BIG block reliable AND with punch to step the gas and enjoy the Road 🍺

I think those pushrods are still to short? On the rocker adjuster, there is a milled down area that needs to align with the oiling hole inside the threaded part of the rocker arm. This rocker arm hole needs to align up (within a few turns) of the milled part of the adjuster to supply oil the the pushrod tip.

Ideally, an 8.85 or 8.90 would put the bulb higher in the cup of the rocker but I verified with COMP Cams that the angle at full throw was safe. But yes, you’re right, I’d prefer them to be a hair longer.

@@moparconnection I usually measure and custom order pushrods from Smith Brothers, but order is usually $200 or more for pushrods. On the Max wedge heads with the offset intake rocker arms, my intake and exhaust pushrods are different length because of the rocker arm offset.

zerogmopars746, I saw the same thing you did and saw his response. You were all over it, good eye! I'm taking the high road and walking away to go read some Chrysler Power. 😏

My ocd got me going with that blue paint I've never had luck when I've painted a engine blue. Orange for me hemi Orange to be exact

I don't mind the blue but how poorly the Por15 laid down is a no-go for me. I was very disappointed in the final appearance.

Personally, I like the 426 much better than the 440. The engine response is much better than the 440 displacement.

The 426 Hemi or the Max Wedge?’

You don't have to lock down the nut doing the 0 lash process and also 0 lash all the valve on both heads per quarter turns of the crank turn: the lock down of the rocker nut is the very last step after 0 lash and preload , then lock down, otherwise your really over working the hell outta yourself: although there's nothing wrong with what your doing, but it's just not necessary to do that at that stage in the game:

This method pretty much sucks. We've moved onto the opposition pattern method.

You should always use a length caliper for a more precision measurement , you spend way way too much money into that engine to start eye balling pushrod length

Hmm. You’re the first to say so on this video (admittedly we had some poor audio in other videos).
