Thanks for compiling this video, very helpful, but I would like to challenge one information gave by you: Settings and Sharing is absolutely not easier than essentials exam. I have more than two years of experience using Notion, both personally and, more recently, in the company I work. I got the essentials badge with flying colors, without having to study at all. For the Settings and Sharing, there's a lot of details that we don't exercise on a daily basis (even if you're a workspace admin), so you really need to review the material and prepare yourself. I spent two days preparing and failed my first attemp (68% success, the minimum is 70%). I'm sure I can apply harder, study the material better and ace this next month, just thought would be nice set a real expectation of the exam, because it isn't easy per-se. Keep up with the good work :)

Thank you! You have helped me a lot! I will take this exam this week. Have you already taken the advanced exam? It's new? If you did, it would be great if you could tell us a little about what it is like.

Did not pass the exam, currently no one is based on how to compare the information, and also has many configuration instructions that are very confusing@@MatthewGira

@@anastolen I took the Settings and Sharing exam today and also didn't pass. I found the Essentials test a breeze, however. 🤪🤣

Hi! I am still a bit confused on sharing - I am trying to set up an area for my partner and I to manage finances, house stuff, and schedules - will fill it with calendars, to-do's, budget templates... would the best option for this be a Teamspace that we are both members of? My fear is making it "open" or "closed" - will other notion users be able to see the personal info within our teamspace? Is it a "public domain" they can access if they have my link? I have a few of my own Private pages and absolutely love them, but am hoping to find a shared solution without just sharing a singular page for my partner and I! Thanks!

Hi! A Teamspace works! No matter what, no one would be able to see your personal info on the pages unless you make those pages public. That's because you'll have a workspace that you'd have to invite people to for them to have access to. If you became really really complex, you could have a Teamspace between you and your partner for house, and then another for finances. That would most likely be overkill though. I would just create one Teamspace and then don't invite others to the entire Teamspace. If you do need to share pages with someone that's not your partner, only share that page, not the entire Teamspace or workspace. Unless you open up the page/databases with links really, you should be fine! If you click on share/publish in the upper right hand corner, you can see who has access and how public it is essentially.

Can I costumize the email the person who im inviting to a shared page?
@wee.digital5 ай бұрын
hey, Matthew. do you know if it's possible to give or remove access to multiple pages at once in the same database?
@MatthewGira5 ай бұрын
I think that would just be sharing the database or a view of it essentially.

If you’re subscribed to Notion AI, can your guest also use the AI feature and make some edits in your shared page to them if you give them full access?

From what I can tell, I don't believe so since it's add on to any plan and has to be a member of your workspace.
