Looking great so far, Sar! Loving your take on Bethesda structures. Lynn Woods is my personal fave, but I also like the location in Far Harbor, Haddock Cove. (Bet Martin loved that.) Interesting structures that would look nice on the coast. Tip for CVA, I tend to only open 3 tabs/lights at a time, makes it a bit easier to navigate. Open the initial tab (signs, pipes, billboards, etc.) Then look in other menus like decoration, the metal section, and miscellaneous to find the sub menu lights. They are usually found scrolling to the end of the list. Each of those sub menus has between 10-25 items in each.

Thanks! And huh, I haven't been to FH at all with this character. Will definitely take a look at that one once (if?) I get there. And thanks for the info on CVA; I'm basically stuck figuring out the logic and trying to remember where the things are that I want to use. I suppose I'll just have to sit down with my whiteboard and take notes on what's where as I go through it.

I still remember when the shack bridge was easier to sink and manipulate. Those were the days. I had made an entire floor out of them, and it looked great. Then I tried using mods and it broke my builds. I messed up the floors when I was trying to fix the build. It was very sad. I really missed the look it gave me. Great stuff my friend.

Thanks! Yeah, the shack bridge is a little fiddly, but it's not too terribly bad in conjunction with the pillar. I gotta remember I have it... it's been so long since I've used it I forget it's there as I blast my way to my railings.

That's one of the many, many things, i so don't understand, why we didn't get some of the basic build stuff, they use all the time. I mean, that stuff is THERE, it's nothing new....but well, i gave up complaining about what Bethesda is thinking (or more likely, not thinking...lol) Hach i love the cluster Place so much. Looks very cool and is so my personal comfort Zone. XD I love building cramped and busy places. The new Shack is so cool, and that little Watchtower! Again a way of building that in Vanilla, i haven't thought of. ^^ Can't say it enough, but i really love watch your Vids. (=

Thanks! I got to thinking about it and I think one of the reasons things like shack supports weren't included is because they're not, like, useful on their own. You wouldn't want them to snap, you need to know how to group-select to use them (or, if they sunk like the shack bridge, they'd be finicky as hell because of their weird shape), and they're really only good as decorative items. But hey we got 'em in mods, so that's fine. ;)

Sup Sar. Been a while. You said you downloaded what beta? CVA? What's that?

'sup. :) CVA is Custom Vanilla Assets. tim-timman made it for the PS4 originally which is in the main mods section bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/3257069 and the ports for XB1 bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4012000 and PC bethesda.net/en/mods/fallout4/mod-detail/4013604 are in the WIP section. The instructions are in the PS4 version's description, and if you search YT there are a number of tutorial-type videos on how to get around in it. I call 'em "betas" but Beth classes them as Works in Progress; there's a checkbox for it in the Categories list. WIPs won't show up in a general search, so you have to go looking for them. Some neat and weird stuff in there but a lot of 'em are the "at your own risk" variety.

hey sar, good work. I've always enjoyed watching u work. I especially like that you've found a way to include your inspiration. very good sir. umm... I could use a lil help tho, I went on Beth.net and added CVA to my library, it says I am successfully subscribed yet it still doesn't show up in my library on Xbox one. can u tell me what I'm missing? thanks in advance. if you're a simpleton (like myself) this mod just seems kinda difficult to obtain.

When I run into library lag, I solve it by waiting for 15 minutes or so to see if it catches up. If it doesn't, I exit the game and go back to the dashboard, then relaunch the game so it'll pull the mods down again. And if that doesn't work, I shut the console off entirely, start it back up, and get back into the game. So far I've never had to do more than that to get it to appear.

Completely NOT build related (mostly) question. I've been watching a lot of your videos lately (*ahem* stealing *ahem* things *ahem*) and I've noticed that in every video, you side with the BoS (I see BoS flags everywhere). Why is that?

Because in survival mode, where there's no fast travel, vertibird taxis are very, very useful. (Also, I dislike the MM and I despise the Institute, so there's that.) And steal away; that's what they're here for. :)
