Settlers of Catan... the movie??

Did you hear that Sony Pictures is currently in the process of acquiring the rights to the popular board game, Settlers of Catan, in order to adapt the game into a movie? Who would have thought?
I wonder what type of story line the scriptwriters will develop or follow. Time will tell...
