FYI the +1 action lets you choose from all 6 dice, nice just the ones on the plate. You just can't +1 a die you already used +1 on.

I like the tutorial! However, at the end you made a mistake with the purple 1<1<1. 1 is not bigger than 1, it is equal. You dont have the equal to or bigger than sign, but only a bigger than sign. Still, thanks for the tutorial as I was lost on how the active and passive rounds worked. Cheers!

For me this is a race game. Once you have some powers it is easy to get victory points so.. better tech up fast and get the VPs faster than opponents. To stop someone getting any Vps is almost impossibe so once anyone is at the treshold (near 8 or 10 points) you can only be... faster than them or tie to get another round of play?

Sorry on the old post comment, but just to confirm. Is it possible that on corners 2 and 3 the green car missed a stop because the stop coming out of a corner and into another does not count?
@retroarcadefan2 жыл бұрын
Fantastic run through of this game! For the permanent tiles, why is there a difference in color for them and why do some of them have a 2 on the other side? Is it because of no VP track and that some can only be achieved a set number of times?

What happens if it goes over 15 prestige points? Do you still win, or do you need exactly 15 points to win?
@VictoryPointCoalition3 жыл бұрын
Great question. No need to get 15 points exactly. You can go over as much as you like.

I think you don't added some bonus: Bonus Summary: Bonus on box = Applied immediately upon filling in the applicable box. Bonus at end of line or column = Only applied if all boxes in applicable row or column filled.

Fun game! A few comments on the playthrough. In your first turn you select green 2 but only cross out the >=1, instead of the correct >=2. In your fourth turn, you forgot to apply the benefit of placing a 6 in orange or purple. So you actually would’ve scored higher ;)
@VictoryPointCoalition3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I'll have to go back and rewatch myself. You are right though, a fun game! :)
@AmadorLover3 жыл бұрын
you are wrong, the cross must be placed on the next free box, in this case is the first. it is prohibited jump spaces. in the case the number of the green dice can not be placed (not obey the "equal or greater than" rule) then it is not marked.

My own strategy thoughts: 1) Reserving cards is not a good "offensive" move. You get only a single token, and it still takes you a full turn to play the card. Reserving can be good as a defensive move, to prevent someone else from getting the last card they need for a lord. 2) Build up your cache of cards quickly. Taking zero point cards here is totally ok. The goal is to limit the turns you need to spend drawing gem tokens by using gem cards instead. 3) Focus on getting cards while spending the fewest tokens and using the most of your gems from cards. Again, zero point cards are ok. Yes, they don't get you any points, but they make getting all future cards that much easier. 4) Don't worry about lords until you have a couple of sets of 2 gem cards, maybe a total of around 8 cards in front of you. 5) Get to sets of 3 gem cards of a color if you can, because a lot of cards have costs of 3 gems of a color, making those cards easier to get for you, plus that's also the threshold for lords. 6) Lords get you 3 points as soon as you play the last gem card needed to "pay" for them, a free action so to speak. However, if you spend several turns drawing gem tokens and reserving cards just to get a particular lord, chances are, someone else will have built up sets of gem cards, where they can just take 2 and 3 point cards every turn for minimal cost or even for free, matching what you gained by getting the lord. 7) If you are 2 gem tokens of a color short, look around and see if you have the time (other players trying to buy that card, enough tokens to draw from) to draw 2 sets of 3 tokens, each draw getting you one token of the color you need, instead of drawing just the 2. You'll end up with an extra token by drawing 2 x 3 tokens vs a set of 2 identical ones and then a set of 3. 8) If you can afford a card with a "difficult" cost, e.g. 5 diamonds, on your turn, look around and see if anyone else is in a position to buy it as well. If not, maybe you can spend the turn working towards another card you're in competition over with another player. You will still have time to buy the original card as soon as someone gets into a position to buy it as well. 9) Choose to focus on a few colors and you might score a lord early on, but you might get stuck, because your gems don't buy you any further cards for a turn or two. 10) Diversify your gem cards and you might be too late to get a particular lord, but chances are, there will always be a card you can buy. 11) Be lucky. And have fun regardless. Sometimes, the cards getting drawn will be all wrong for you and you will be stuck for a turn or three.

Thank you, what a great video! I really like your style of teaching. Any chance of you making a play through video? Either with two players or solo play. I thought if you used the joker (white) as a blue, then it’s value is basically doubled not added to the rolled blue. Eg. Blue is used by active player. White 2 is left. If you used it as a ‘ blue’ 2 you would then add it to the white 2 value as you always add blue value to white. I may be wrong, but that’s how I was shown. Great game though.
@centauri882028 күн бұрын
Whether you use a blue or white die for the blue section you always add the other die to get the total value, no doubling. Four years late but hopefully useful info for future players.
