Settling Back into Life Aboard in Grenada S8Ep2

After a week of boat prep in the boat yard, we finally are back in the water again and move around to life on the water in Mt Hartman Bay, Grenada.

Yeah I hate heavy out boards ! I picked up a Suzuki 6hp 4 stroke . It weighs 53 lbs and has the gas tank on the top . No cans in the boat . If I’m going a long way I carry a little extra . But it has great range from the tank for 99 percent of the trips .

Off topic… Zach… if I might inquire, what technique do you and Lindy use to get back into the portabote? Appreciate your insight!

It's a little awkward, but we both do it no problem. Grab the side, kick with our feet at the same time we pull the side down, and push our upper body in with our arms. With fins, the kick jumps you up pretty easy but can do without fins. We usually land on the middle seat with our chest then squirm around until we are seated. The squirming with fins on I'm sure looks hilarious.
