Settling into my new home | Storage for a small apartment

In this video I wonder whether I decluttered enough of my things before I moved, while I grapple with unpacking and organising my new apartment and finding a place for each items. I show you the progress I have made settling into my new home including organising a storage cupboard and creating temporary storage. I also test out a new toaster, assemble some bathroom drawers and describe what life has been like since I moved in. I hope you enjoy it!

I'm thinking like you, asking myself if I decluttered enough for my next move. Like you, my new home that I am moving to has very little storage and absolutely no extra room to hide stuff. So I've been donating as much of my stuff as I can and I also been shredding lots of papers. Once I move into my new home, I will see if there's anything else that I can let go of. Your new home is beautiful! Love the balcony.

I did the same about a year ago moved from a 2 bedroom unit with large garage into a 1 bedroom with no garage. I relied so much on that spare bedroom to hide a lot of things away. I don’t have that luxury anymore. I had to declutter many more things. I’m now getting ready to move into a van so more decluttering needs to be done.

I’ve moved back into a house but only things I bought was furniture and some boxes that were in storage Now I’m selling my house and I will be moving back into a motorhome I will only need to declutter my furniture and a few electrical items like tv , slow cooker and rice cooker My son is moving from Alice Springs to Melbourne so I will give him all this as he will not need to move his . Win win 👌🏼

When I moved into my caravan I had two sets of sheets and towels One in use and one in cupboard I found this enough for me I did this with cleaning clothes too actually I donated my enjo I see your box of enjo🤣

I absolutely love your apartment! That balcony is fantastic. I must admit that while you were choosing and packing the things to bring with you, I thought, “How on earth is she going to fit all that stuff?” You’ll work it out. Try to minimize as much as possible (I’m thinking linens here!) so that your small space stays uncrowded, but contains your favorite things.

i was thinking the same about linens! i guess if you have people spend the night, i have 2 of everything, 1 in bathroom of each, 1 of each in closet, and i dont keep supplement in bathroom , too much moisture, i keep in stand where i drink coffee and water. nice size place, and glad kitty settled in well, you will figure it out. @@lisaann6267 Thank you so much! Yes I agree about supplements. I'm happy with mine in the storage cupboard at the end of the kitchen for now. I will probably let go of the 3rd set of bedlinen. It was my niece's favourite so hung on to it for when she stays over. But would be good to use that space for something else.

You have a lovely bathroom, your storage unit is very close to the toilet, why not place storage unit where the trash can is and the trash can by the toilet.

Thanks for the suggestion! I did start with it on that side and it looked great. But need access to my ladder and clothes rack which are to the left of the washing machine. No doubt will be playing with the bathroom set up in the future 😍
