I'm happy we picked up BTJ and lost Ridley. Based on what I've read and what I've heard, BTJ's knowledge of the playbook, routes, and work ethic surpasses Ridleys. It will be interesting to see how he does with Will Levis as his QB Tenn.

Good video Jordan. Gabe wasn’t signed to replace Ridley but to replace Zay. Gabe isn’t a speedster but he has concise route running and has the size to fight off any press unlike Ridley. Similar to Zay but Zay’s run blocking was much to be desired. Gabe has better run blocking and was the reason why their running game became successful when they started to run out to the outside and to his side. Not only that, not to throw slight, but Gabe started to work with Lawrence as soon as he arrived while Ridley started way late and Gabe is already reading the playbook.

Jaguars are better off without Ridley. Additionally, the owner has to accept some blame for delaying signing Josh Allen.

It’s simple to me I was a big Ridley fan I bought a Jersey but when his value was at 17mil and then free agency came and his value jumped to 20+ I was like no way he’s worth 20+ let him go and use the draft to get younger and cheaper..it worked out perfect we got a younger,stronger and faster Ridley. 23 mil a year for Midley was insane.

BTJ is our Calvin Ridley replacement...and even though it is WAY early...I'd take BTJ over Ridley...BTJ is a Rook with his BEST days ahead of him...is a bigger faster receiver....I LIKED Ridley...and feel this year would have been a much better year for Ridley with us...but he disappeared too much...whether that was on him or Trevor who knows...but I am fine with BTJ.

But from what Ridley was saying.... He was saying he wanted to be "the guy". That means playing the X reciever. He had his chance. He didn't pan out. I think its a blessing in disguise. We got a guy whos taller and faster that can play the X. And I think Gabe can slay at Z.

Always remember, the jags went to the playoffs without Ridley; the jags didn’t go the playoffs with Ridley. This is the best wide receiver room in very very long time. This will be historic!

I'd rather roll the dice on BTJ than keep Ridley. Ridley didn't show me that he was worth the cost of keeping him IMO. He was solid and I like the dude, but he wasn't exactly wowing me consistently.

Every time Ridley made a mistake or dropped a pass, he acted hurt. Goodbye and good riddance lol Gabe is replacing Zay. BTJ is the true Ridley replacement.
