Kudos to the original poster for posting this..... But personally I'm running into issues. For starters, I'm running a Mac, and no one has answers on how to connect the Nes30 Pro to a Mac so that a firmware update can be accomplished. If someone out there can help it would be much appreciated. Also just a side note to anyone out there considering to purchasing this controller, if it's for the Retropie I personally caution you...Although this controller looks and feels cool as hell, I've only ran into nothing but problems, and through digging on the net, I'm not the only one in this boat. My Raspberry Pie 3 B running Retropie Version 4.2 only recognizes this controller in Emulation Station, when I actually go into a rom to play on any system (nes, snes, sega etc etc) the controller is not recognized. The solution that I found to this was getting the firmware to 1.72/1.71, but now I'm running into the issue of not being to load it through my Mac. Frustrating, had my system set up for a couple days now and can only play it with my USB controllers plug into my raspberry pie, totally defeats the purpose of buying Bluetooth controllers. Also I seen someone mention to connect the controller to a mac through it's bluetooth capabilities, but this still doesn't allow the person to update it's firmware. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you like the Vivaldi browser? I've been toying with it on a spare laptop that's running Ubuntu, it seems... different, but in a good way, even though it's still Chromium at the core. It has some interesting features. Feels like it could be a contender if they keep at it. EDIT: I should mention that the laptop is 1366x768 and Vivaldi operates well and still looks good @ that res with the way the UI is laid out.
@TechWizTime7 жыл бұрын
The reason I made the switch was primarily because I liked Chrome, but I hated it as well. Vivaldi addressed a lot of the problems I had with chrome and also gave me the feature that I use all the time. Split Tabs. I have a 4k monitor and often, I will split the browser into 4 sections so I can be looking at four pages at once. Now I could do this with 4 separate browsers and Windows Snap, but I prefer this as it's still in the same browser window and it's creating a tab group which I can even make 6 if I wanted to. It does have it's issue's however. Like the one thing I really miss from Chrome is the ability to have separate users. If I have a few different accounts on the one website, I can't have it open in another browser window with separate bookmarks and separate logins.

I had some problems to connect my sn30pro+. Solved the Problem: It was configured in switch mode and couldnt connect to Retropie. I downloaded the "ultimate sw" from 8bitdo homepage. If you start the sw and plug in the controller (at your PC) you can set it to android mode and everything works fine. You can also choose X mode than everything will work fine too but the system will think ists an XBOX controller.

Great Video. Worked like a charm. My question, if I use the controller on another blue tooth device such as my tablet and then I come back to the pi it wouldn't connect automatically. I have to attempt to go into settings and reconnect. However it doesn't work. I then have to delete the existing config and register and connect all over again. Is this the norm or is there an easier way to reconnect? Fyi I did the udev rue as well. Thanks in advance for the guidance.
