where should I place my Denafrips Hermes DDC in the hifi chain, between pc/laptop and the DSP processor (minidsp shd studio) or between the DSP processor and DAC?

7:04 good, but I don't entirely follow. If the Hermes was set to 000 and the DAC at 000, why the trial and error approach? Or is this specific to DSD in order to accommodate the different wiring configuration types of HDMI cables? If it's a cable issue, then if the chosen cable had no signal crossing, parallel wiring (which I think is the Denafrips way), then just setting both to 000 would be the way to go for everything?

Alvin, Very interesting video. I am in the process of possibly buying a terminator 2 this afternoon, from You. I have been looking forward to owning one. As the Terminator 2 is as high as I can go $$ Why would you need to buy the other unit too? What does it do that a $4500 Terminator unit can't. I am truly hoping that the Terminator 2 is an end all addition for me. Plus I was looking for a DAC with Simplicity. Is the Terminator 2 not as good without it??? Robert TN

Hi Alvin, Great turorial. BTW I have a question. I have a plan to buy Terminator II and Hermes. If I use iPhone (Apple Music/ALAC format) and connect the iPhone to Hermes using Lightning to USB Cable, can the clock synchronize works? Thanks.

The trick for reversing left and right channels does not work for PCM. How would you reverse the channels for PCM?

Yes, then connect each piece of source equipment to the four filtered outlets on the back of the unit.

The configuration of the DDC is too complicated for me, that why stopping me to purchase . Manufacturer should make it user friendly.
