Setup ReadyShare on Netgear router

Thanks for your video. If one is using the drive locally what is the advantage of accessing it thru the router when you can simply attach it thru USB 3 to your Mac?

Has anybody go readyshare print from a Mac? I can’t figure it out. I don’t see an option to save readyshare printer and it won’t save that option

If anyone can't get this to work, you're drive MUST be formatted with NTFS

OMG! I've been looking for 10 minutes for a simple video explaining the advantages or disadvantages of using the readyshare USB print server vs. Plugging it into a ethernet port directly, Assigning a static IP or reserving an IP from the DHCP pool.....ORrrrr just having the printer directly available via Wi-Fi directly As most new printers are capable of. Why is there not a single video explaining whether It's worth it To set a printer up this way. Aside from saving a single ethernet port... If you're even going to plug it in to an ethernet port, Since most modern printers can connect directly to your Wi-Fi access point and be available to all devices that way. Additionally most new printers have the ability. To create their own direct Wi-Fi connection directly to the printer. I want to know what makes ReadyShare on my ancient 3700v4 the preferred print sharing method. Speed? Reducing unnecessary traffic on your router that may already be overloaded? Or is it just the fact you free up one gigabit Ethernet port? Also since most home users have all-in-one printers that include copying scanning and printing, will Connecting it in this manner affect one's ability to access all of these features? Seriously, not a single video. But dozens and dozens of videos on how to set up readyshare. Come on.......RTFM people.

Windows 10, after version 1703, and Windows 11 will require insecure guest logons. Please enable this in the appropriate group policies.

Yes it does. . You just aren't doing it correctly. . . I have Windows 10 and 11. . . Make sure your drive is formatted with NTFS

only works if usb HD IS SMALLER THAN 4tb size.....crap router
