I know this is an old comment, but maybe this can help others as it fixed my issue: Authenticated SMTP needs to be enabled for that mailbox in the Microsoft 365 admin center. It's under Active users -> the maibox you're using -> Mail -> Manage email apps Once that's enabled, re-submit the SMTP settings in the Kyocera printer and voila! Scan to email works.

I have never managed to send mail via O365 till I watched this, where I was going wrong was not changing the mailbox in MS portal to accept "Authenticated SMTP

Dear I am configuring with office 365 but it does not allow an error, the dns is well configured and all anti worked well as it was migrated to office 365 it no longer allows

Is there any way to store a new email directly from the printer? (I do not know anything about the command center shite and just want to avoid typing the email every effing time)

When I use STARTTLS I get a Connection Error (0x1102) When I use SSL/TLS I get a Connection Error (0x4308) I have tested the credentials in Office 365 and I can log in fine. What do the above error codes indicate?

Hi, You need to use STARTLS and then make sure you disable TLS 1.0 and 1.1 in network security settings. 1102 is normally incorrect username and password, also make sure you don't have 2fa enabled for that account or that the password hasn't expired

@@dynamicbusinesssystems67 I am getting the same error (0x1101) and ive changed my password, as well as copied right from the site, and nothing is working. I am at a loss. what do i do next? Also, my email address is registered to GoDaddy if that helps

@@reid118 error code 1101 could be any of these 3 problems (as in the manual) 1. Check the SMTP/POP3 server name 2. Confirm device network parameters 3. Confirm the network parameters and machine has internet please make sure there is a valid gateway and DNS server setup

I found the Default Gateway but dont see DNS Server (Primary) in the machine interface. Where would I look to find DNS Server (Primary)

HI, apologies for only responding to this now but from the machines interface/screen you are only able to set the IP, Subnet Mask and gateway. To set the DNS you will need to log in to the web interface

I am also having Connection Error (0x3102), I have disabled ipv6, and from network security only selected TLS 1.2 on both server side and client. also have enabled only AES/AES-GCM on both server and client then rebooted mfp. Been working fine for the last couple of months. MFA on office365 not enabled :S

@@dynamicbusinesssystems67 ECOSYS M3040dn and M2040. Is there a way I can monitor all my kyocera machines and have reports on their toner firmware updates etc? Currently I am using HP web deskjet however I can only monitor their toner

Hi, I also have a problem with connection (0x1102), in network security selected TLS1.2 on server and client side, and enabled only AES and AES-GCM on both sides. Not working...

-Make sure the account has “SMTP” enabled within the Users - Active Users - “Scan account” -Email Apps - Manage email apps - Verify Authenticated SMTP is enabled. That did it for me

I go wrong at 38 seconds - my gateway and DNS are blank. I am a one man band who is foolishly trying to set up my ecosysM3326 myself. Anyone have any suggestions as to what should go here?

This ain't gonna work any more because Kyocera devices doesn't support Oauth. You will have to use an smtp relay or connector.

Hi, Microsoft has since disabled TLS 1.0 and 1.1 so if you go to the device security settings under network security you will see an option to untick SSL3.0/TLS1.0 and also untick TLS 1.1

Check which encryption is being used. AES / AES-GCM. Make sure SSL/TLS and TLS1.1 are off.

If you have already ensured that basic printer settings such as correct SMTP Server settings, port number and SMTP security protocol is set to STARTTLS and account credentials are correct and that MFA is not enabled on the account then see below. After spending about an 1 hour on this for a client I finally was able to get this pesky (0x3102) resolved. So just like @Dynamic Business Systems and @Scott Easdale mentioned above ensure the following is configured under "Security Settings > Network Security": For both Serverside and Clientside setings ensure that ONLY TLS 1.2 is selected and that both AES-GCM and AES encryption protocols are selected. I also went ahead and enabled SNMPv3 under other protocols however unsure if this had any impact as I didn't have more time to test. Great video btw!

Hi, I'm trying to setup scan to email on kyocera M2035dn, giving my O365 mail id and password, and when I test it gives an error. Connection Error (0x1101) Please help to resolve the issue?

Hi, Error code 1101 means that the SMTP server that you provided doesn't exist, CHeck the spelling that you put in for the SMTP Server Name : If you are using office 365 it should be "smtp.office365.com"

@@girin1759 you will need to use the login username and password for the email account that you send the scan from. Please also just make sure that the network setting are correctly setup. Check that the gateway and the DNS settings are also corect in the TCP IP menu. If you dont come right send me an email and I can Teamviewer in and troubleshoot with you . Support@dbsk.co.za

Do you know how I'd obtain the DNS & Gateway? The IP address is showing as 0.0.0.0

Hi, If you log into the machines web interface you can go to the TCP/IP menu and you will be able to see what the DNS and gateway is set to. If you print a status page and it doesn't show any IP addresses there, that usually means that there is no network cable plugged into the machine.
