This theme and colors was just beautiful! I could imagine how nice it was with all the people coming in wearing the orange and black colors. Fantastic job as usually!! Beautiful event! Very creative. I just finished putting my shimmer wall together. Haven't put it up so it's laying like yours on the floor with foam sheets from the box in between. I guess there's really not much more you can do lol thank you for sharing

That decor was so beautiful! Amen and no to the late night pick-ups. Last week was my first in an unfamiliar area of DC and at 1AM, I wasn't comfortable with it. Will definitely look to daytime events in the future.

Love you design and theme. Shimmer walls seem like a lot of work to put together, I’ve been a bit intimidated by them. If I ever have to do one I may have to rent from another designer lol

Oh my gosh I just love hearing your tips and tricks at the end of the video, it’s almost like you’re staying I’m still learning too. Would you charge extra to your clients for late night pick up( if it like super later?) thankfully you have a team, but even then you want to be cautious. I loveeee this birthday theme, so creative! Could you do a video on your take down process after the event is over?

Thank you! It’s hard to do a video on the takedown process because we don’t have much time to cleanup. Plus there’s normally people in room which makes it harder to record.

That’s a great idea, that’s usually what I do I pick up the decor the next day. charge extra for that service . show your assistant a list of everything and let your assistant pick it up. My brother sometimes help me , he is off on Sundays. I guess he figured out why I gave him a spare key to the storage now lol 🤣🤣🤣

Hello there and thank you for sharing this! Will you please share the size of the shimmer wall from this video? I have a gold shimmer wall (49 pieces, so that yields a 7x7ft wall, which makes me question if ppl actually display backdrops as short as 7-8ft tall). I notice and like the way yours comes all the way down to the floor. I assume I’ll need to purchase more shimmer panels. I hope my question is clear😀. Finally, have you mixed a shimmer wall with backdrop fabric on the same stand? I would love to see a u Kaye design including the two. Thanks much!

Hi there! No, I haven’t mixed my shimmer wall with draping yet. I’m still getting used to these shimmer wall backdrops. Lol! The black shimmer wall in this video about 6ft wide and 7ft tall. I believe I used 42 pieces (6 wide and 7 long).

Thank you! I do plan to update my vendor list (and increase the price) on a yearly basis. If you purchase the list, you would not automatically receive the latest list. You would be purchasing the version of the list at that time. Great question.

Can you put a link to the steamer and to the bin big enough to store the panels. You left each piece 3x2 correct? And wall is 6x8? So that’s 24 total pieces? How much is your membership program?
