Yes-o!! Ese gan brother Seun! I had to laugh when in one of the interviews with a female lawyer regarding the hijab controversy, she said "You have to look smart! You know, with your hair pulled back, dressing appropriately. You have to look smart and professional (paraphrasing)". I guess wearing a British man's wig on your head, as well as his dress, is looking "smart". No disrespect to lawyers, but I find what Seun said to very intellectually sound.

Just wished it was longer. Very informative and honest. Pretty much sums up the issue with Nigerians and Nigeria as a whole.

Yes, you're very correct. We never develop ourselves or what is ours , that is why you see a lady publicly proposing to a man. Even man proposing to a lady in a public is not our tradition. With regards to Hijab, It should not be allowed, yes the judicial system (court) is western, so you would expect the uniform (garment) to be western. If she wants to adhere to her scarf (hijab) then she should go to sharia court. There are rules and principles and codes and practicess in public institutions. Public institutions should be neutral.
