to me, kpop is a “heartcatching industry”, especially in korea. as unfair it may be, this view colors the views of people who date: since their heart has already been caught, they can’t catch any more hearts. this metaphor is based on the manga sugar sugar rune and i don’t plan on letting go of it anytime soon. it’s always there for me whenever uproar over dating happens. we may want it to change, but unfortunately it’s embedded into the dna of the idol industry.

Well, they DID bully him into leaving the group for good. And those are indeed fans, korean version. They are incredibly toxic and that's because the society in which they live formed them like that. There have been several cases of idols unaliving themselves that are KNOWN to be due to fans bullying them (often female idols, for being 'fat' - lol - and then when they starve themselves, for being 'too skinny'). And those toxic fans showed no remorse when confronted with what they did.

@AmbiCahira
@AmbiCahira 12 күн бұрын
@MaluSilva-yx8nl so, business wise they probably said that because the best way to calm an angry mob is to say something along the lines of "you're right we agree" so it probably was to save/protect the company. I can't help but to think that LSM would have handled this better even if it still would have been for the company. Companies no matter the field will always protect the company as the first priority so protecting idols (employees) is a lower priority. Sadly, since the consumers (fans) dictate income they probably felt like their arm was twisted into letting him go eventhough other idols smoke/vape and date. The demands on the latest gen idols is the strictest I've seen in all my years with kpop.

@AmbiCahira yeah ofc the most ridiculous part is the amount of kfans complaining about it, and specially how aggressive they're being about it, but I still think that SM could've handled it better just a little at least... Because SM is a rich company with a lot of very successful groups that bring a lot of money, it's not like RIIZE is their only or major source of income (no shade), I think they could handle making a less harsh statement (? idk how to explain in english lol) about one member of their youngest group.. Or maybe tested the waters a bit better before deciding to announce his comeback, not putting the guy with his handwritten letter on the front line like that, idk

The time SM attempted to put EXO-K (I think is the group name?) in a slave contract, really messed it up for me, and further proves that the problems SM have are just deeply rooted. Crazy part is these are problems that we know publicly, and there could be way more happening BTS. This wasn’t the first, since TVXQ fell victim to this and the 3 members put it to court (and thankfully won), but it still shows a lot about how messed up SM is, and even HYBE from the looks of it. Then again, I think it’s also pretty safe to say many known and big companies (especially if those are pretty old) are just a group of horrible people.

Honestly I feel like Jessi did well considering the situation. She politely declined and intervened when the producer started to be confrontational and even tried to separate them further and protect her fan before it got out of hand. It was late at night and she was with a man she barely knew who is likely stronger than her so I commend her for intervening as much as she did.
@catrice1296
@catrice1296 13 күн бұрын
While i wouldn’t go as far as to say commend but its a relatable and familiar rxn. Well tbf where i saw fights everyday multiple times a day was at school where i knew the school staff and police were already running down the halls on their way there. Ive seen someone get tazed by the school police. But yeah. For me imma just move on. Almost got crushed by 2 dudes fighting and ended up crashing into the table right next to where i was sitting while i was just trying to mind my own business eating my stupid disgusting lunch that i waited too long for in line. What kind of school only has 2 lines for like 300 kids if theres only 25 min to eat????? Maybe calling the cops could have helped but tbh other ppl probs have already called the cops. If she already heard someone do so then atp its safer just to skedaddle esp who knows if it would get more violent and one of then could pull the same crap that almost got me crush by to stinky hormone driven dudes. Srsly tho idk whats up with my middle and highschools. I swear 90% of them (this is about an accurate representation bc after the top 10% of highschool grads passed through the rest really were um not there to learn??? I barely did anything bc i get to stressed out to study properly so i didnt really study and i was still top 3%. Aka 25/almost 800. So idk maybe im desensitized to fights bc im used to ppl with underdeveloped prefrontal cortexs. I mean i cant say my brain is that much better due to my overactive fight or flight instincts which are so strong that i tick every single symptom for it minus blood pressure. But yeah. Teachers at my old hs were not allowed to break up fights and students who tried were also punished. Only the school police was allowed to separate them for safety, ability, and liability issues and id imagine it would be similar for jessi. Also would not recommend a grown man stepping in physically either. Verbally yes but you never know if someone is carrying a weapon of some sort. Just bc its illegal doesnt mean ppl dont have them. So verbal communication, distraction, distancing the victim from attacker, redirection, and intimidation (only really works with a scary looking person or someone who looks like they gotta lot of lawyers on speed dial) but doing those to try to keep damage done to the victim as minimal as possible (i say this but id bet these things would be a little harder to apply and think of on the spot than in a long winded comment). So basically long story short her lack of involvement seems to have some justification and i probs would have done similarly. Except my plans would have been completely fractured and i would probs retreat home for thr next 2-3 weeks.

One cafe in a North Jakarta mall just had a RIIZE-dedicated karaoke to celebrate Sungchan and Seunghan’s birthday, as well as the group’s first anniversary. I’m no BRIIZE, but I know some people who are. But you’re right, if no one is stung by the news, then they’re either just casual fans (not hardcore fans), or they don’t care bout Seunghan. Hopefully the smart and wise people don’t have an ass-backwards reaction with the Taeil and Seunghan situation (sometimes feelings towards an idol as an individual can play a factor within one’s knowledge and wisdom). I mean, how could SM be so weak and crumble to the words of haters? Read between the lines, SM people! Maybe they (those crooked employees) could have a personal vendetta against Seunghan hence his departure. It’s clear as day who’s in the wrong between the two aforementioned former SM talents. Let’s not talk about Korean netizens for a bit here, if people coming out from the RIIZE noraebang hearing about the Seunghan news feels happy and says something along the lines of “you don’t deserve to be an idol, now eat what you just caused”, then they are heartless and they got the situation mixed up. Unlike Taeil, Seunghan didn’t harm anyone mentally and physically, it’s just those sensitive minds coming into play from those so-called fans.

With all this Trump shizzzz happening in America right now and all that's happening in Kpop land I admit my light has dimmed greatly and I am left in deep stress and sadness...if you have light I could surely use a jump...give me hope man...just a little you can spare...thanks so much.

See how they look so beautiful, in sync and in harmony being 7 but the wicked souls chased him away from fulfilling him dream...and sending death wreaths to a living person?!!!!! This whole thing is just stupid and I hope Seunghan is really okay. He's still young for crying out loud!!!! 💔🤦🏻‍♀️

Sm should have never put him on a hiatus. This only fed into those bullies' delusions. Also, there needs to be strong legal action taken against them and maybe public exposure too, it's just outrageous to act like this. These specimens never really learn unless for a big reality check.

Can putting up funeral wreaths at a non-funeral place be considered a death threat?

It’s still disrespectful and disgusting especially it is being done intentionally towards a person who did not do any illegal crimes

To think that they’re so silent on the Teil situation, but Seunghan having a life before being an idol is the biggest crime in their eyes. It’s insane.

I feel so horiible because it feels like the people who love to cyberbully or treat idols as if they own them are winning. They got what they wanted. And i can’t do anything about it

On the brighter side, the idols that leave don't have to deal with SM or the horrible fans anymore.

As a person that has sold flower arrangements I'm not understanding taking an order for a funeral flower delivery for a live person outside their place of business. I can't imagine taking such an order, or fulfilling it.

i'm not a briize, but the seunghan situation is devastating and infuriating. as a non-fan, i was sooo excited to hear that he was finally returning, but that went down the drain just two days later. sm really failed him and all those "fans" that harassed him should feel shame, but knowing them i'm willing to bet money that they don't. really a shame all around.
