SEUS Renewed vs SEUS PTGI Lighting test.
SEUS PTGI uses path tracing and ray tracing for global illumination and shadows, therefore lighting and shadows are much more realistic in SEUS PTGI.

Heres the thing though with lighting. Although both are phenomenal but renewed still uses the lighting engine that minecraft uses. PTGI uses it's own lighting engine which gets rid of that blocky look for the lighting. You know like where if you spawn a torch you can see each block get darker unevenly. Well ptgi kinda fixes that.

That's not true. Renewed uses SEUS's own global illumination system, I believe its very similar to SEGI which he made for real time global illumination in Unity. Renewed's GI is basically like a really low res version of Ray tracing, which is what causes the blocky artifacts.

@@SPUDS1 I got a RYZEN 3700x with an 2080 super and 32gb of 3600mhz RAM on a 3440x1440 resolution but my performance is quite bad. 20-40 fps with a lot of settings turned down. Do you have a clue whats up? I use SEUS PTGI E12 with Optifine HD U G9 and resource pack VanillaPBR 1.2.0.

No no they are not same. HRR is rendered in low resolution and then upscaled therefore it looks a bit blurry.

Renewed has a realistic way of lighting. try to got to a room with no light but sunlight. You still can see the rooms inside. PTGI just darkens everywhere.
