EDIT! Note - this video was filmed earlier in the day and with a mostly empty train. We rode again later that night with full trains and the ride actually went FASTER and swung MORE! It was AWESOME!
The ride was a lot of fun! Remember, the "coaster" is in-between Barnstormer and Big Thunder, so don't expect big "thrills." The swinging is a lot of fun and the dark ride sections are great! I love how its 2019 and this ride still has a 200+ minute wait its crazy. Update: it’s now March 2022 ride times sore over 120 a day. During 2020 Covid reopening the ride times were anywhere between 25-45 minutes. 2021 was around 70 minutes. This comment was made before I started working at Disney :)

They should also make a "Escape of Aurora" ride with some really scary music and the ride would go 78 mph and there is 4 loops and huge drops and at the waiting place some water fountains and some mummy graves.

Let's keep in mind that this ride is for children. It is not supposed to be intense. It is supposed to be a fun little ride that families can go on. It is not like Mount Everest or Rockin Roller Coaster, those rides are more for the "older" kid or adult age groups.

It's clearly made so that small kids will be able to ride without a lot of vomit. Nice high-standard Disney animatronics as almost always. There are a few moments that add some small thrills, but this is not an air-time ride, but a family-friendly ride that Grandma can also ride without breaking a hip. Just enough 'thrills' so that the very young can brag about riding it.

I mean it looks like a good little coaster for the kids to enjoy if they're too scared for one of the bigger "Mountain" rides, but still I can't help but feel like it's lacking one or two more animatronic set-pieces, or SOMETHING. Underwhelming, but I still loved it. It wasn't thrilling, the cars didn't sway while I was on it, and the ride was SOOOOOOOOOOOO short. They could've done a lot more with 7DMT, but it looks like it was done on a tight budget (minus the amazing animatronics). I loved it though and it's a must-do, but it's not all it could (or should) be.

All these comments from people about how "boring" this ride is must not have ever visited a Disney park. I grew up in SoCal and love the Magic Kingdom. Space Mountain and The Matterhorn don't compare to the big coasters at Six Flags, but that's not why I go to Disney. This ride looks like a lot of fun and the only thing I am not looking forward to is the long line there will be to ride it. However, I'm sure they will have some cool theme stuff in the que to make it more tolerable.

Just went on this last night with my 4 1/2 yo Autistic Son. We ended up seated in the very front row, and it was late so much darker, and right as our car started so did the 9pm fireworks. He loved it. I really recommend it for introducing kids to coasters. We did this shortly after I did Space Mountain on my own. However, like I said a good one for starting kids off, gauging their threshold.

quality people, that's why it took so long. you want cheap thrills? head on over to six flags. intense rides but you're getting the bare minimum scenery and a poorly kept environment (trash laying around, poorly kept lands, employees who look like they hate their lives). the ride looks impeccable and the AA are beyond belief. if you expected something more intense you either a) haven't been following the development of this at all or b) cant read because the name of the ride "Seven Dwarfs" is based off of a fairytale...

Evnted Maybe some people are pissed because they waited in line for 2 hours for a ride that LOOKED like a thrill ride. Even the signs in the waiting line say this is a high intensity thrill ride! They totally try to play it off as something awesome and intense with a nice backstory in it, but they slow you at every drop AND they also only have a couple anamatronic scenes in the damn ride. This ride was a piece of shit and you know it so don't call people illiterate just because they read signs in the line that say high intensity and are disappointed when it isn't that.

georgia123 I agree. I'm a coaster enthusiast, and when I go to Disneyland, I ride rides like these mainly for a trip down memory lane, but also because they can be fun. Inversions and steep drops aren't necessary to make a coaster fun. It's more thrilling, but coasters like these can be just as fun

Rides like these are definitely cool to look at, but personally, I'm not in it for the scenery, I got enough of that driving to the theme park itself. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, however I feel like waiting in a line for two hours to see some animatronics move is a bit extreme, where at least when you're at six flags, you have a good thrill and only have to wait an hour at MOST to go on a roller coaster that lasts much longer than a slow ride around in a circle. I say you can make great memories at both- I just feel like there's no point in arguing over which park gives you a better bang for your buck when it comes to coasters, it's pretty obvious.

literally my favorite ride!! it’s so fun!! the animatronics were AMAZING. i’m a scaredy-cat and this ride was SO fun! the drops weren’t that bad and it was definitely an amazing ride. however, I would recommend getting a fast pass because the lines are RIDICULOUS but if you’re scared to ride it- don’t be! it’s one of the coolest rides at disney in my opinion.

I LOVE all the dwarfs but Grumpy. He's great when it comes 2 Snow White, and he's good when he's working, marching, and singing! Anyone ever think of Donald Duck when they think of Grumpy? Donald had PTSD, which is why he blows up over certain things, and Grumpy almost always looks ticked off!

This thing is definitely a bit more compact than the bigger Mountain coasters but I actually really like the experience it delivers. There's a good amount of build up to the main AA set piece and the titular diamond mine looks absolutely spectacular. Plus I love the witch lurking outside the cottage at the end as an homage to Scary Adventures.

I remember my first time riding this, me and my family had to wait 10 hours the ride had just came out and LOTS of people were there. I was the main one who wanted to ride it, some asked to leave but the rest of us said no Bc we already made it this far. So as we waited we played w/ the barrels and the water music things. Finally the ride came n I was so happy to have ride it Bc it was worth the wait. It was fast and I love the little dwarfs w/ Snow White that whole mining and then dancing was amazing. Now I wanna go back to Disney 😂🥺

There is a drop, it lifts you up, then you don't feel anything when it's going down, after that the speed pushes you, pretty much just fast tiny drops, and the ride itself is pretty fast. (In a fun way)

Back row on this ride is actually pretty underrated. You get some good pops of airtime in the back!

You do realize how stupid of a comparison that is. It's about as intelligent as saying "I think Kingda Ka is going to be more thrilling than this ride." Seven Dwarfs and Harry Potter appeal to a TOTALLY different audience and the rides aren't even CLOSE to being similar. Try again Comparison Boy!

Not themed to the Seven Dwarfs though, but with swinging cars like this to a completely different theme and with the drop track element would be awesome. And it should be located somewhere in the California Adventure Park.

California is basically out of room, and besides this is basically our Matterhorn, we never had a roller coaster in Fantasyland like Disneyland

This is my favorite ride in Disney! I also like Thunder Mountain, space mountain, and others. But this one is really fun, and I recommend it.

The animatronics make em life like love the skin tone used for the faces of the dwarfs is amazing what disney can do with inventing new technology for their rides like this and their Carsland in california both look real and brings the characters to life even mater

I know it's not longer, but for some reason when I watched this I thought the ride should be longer to include the end of the story. I know it's supposed to be about the dwarves though so it makes sense. I love going on this ride! It's the only roller coaster I go on. Oh, and thanks for the commentary on the second go of the ride! I laughed. It's so not fair that they were throwing that party and we just had to watch! ;)
