Because of Bill Johnson of Bethel Church in California. In "When Heaven Invades Earth," he said: "The Lord's Model Prayer provides the clearest instruction on how we bring the reality of His world into this one" (p. 58); "When we pray for His Kingdom to come, we are asking Him to superimpose the rules, order, and benefits of His world over this one until this one looks like His" (p. 63). Johnson deconstructs the Lord's Prayer and then reinterprets it to be consistent with the theology in this video.

I dont call this 7 mountain stuff a theocracy. i call it a religious dictatorship and i think this distinction is not only important it is cruclal for when we as Christians pray, " thy kingdom come" we are seeking God's theocracy on earth BUT this is only his personal rule after His return any rule of any church before this is not theocracy, but a religious dictatorship Besides i would ask, if they want to impose the law of God will they offer themselves for execution voluntarily when they themselves break said Law, as we all do of course not! such is the deception of and corruption of power

They definitely ignore (?) Revelation 17 & 18! The fact that 'woman' *"sits on seven mountains"* would kind of discourage them from calling it that, if they had any fear of God. And consider that the woman *"commits fornication with kings"* (what politicians used to be called, and sometimes still are), and guess what? She also *"rides the beast",* and is *"drunk with the blood of martyrs".* Wow; you'd think they'd care. You would think that if they didn't want anything to do with that "woman", they certainly would not be willing to call an organization that is supposed to serve the God of the Bible, and share with the world, His gospel of salvation through faith in Jesus, something that could cause spiritual confusion. I believe that it is part of the devil's attempt to destroy belief in Jesus Christ, and replace it with the ecumenical world religion.

I’m pretty old on this earth, and I do not see anything wrong with the 7 mountains basic idea in spurring Christians to Kingdom work. Every origin and historical flaw does not have to be integrated into followers of Christ being true salt and light NOW! In any sphere of earthly life a little or a lot of salt/light- whatever a Christian can contribute- beats the hell out of the darkness sin and mess that never lets up trying to consume the human race! We don’t have to be tainted by/labeled by historical mindsets or present-day frameworks as we discern Biblical truth and service on, as the “ “Onward Christian Soldiers” we endeavor to be. ❤

There is a non-“Pentecostal” camp that teach a very similar form of dominionism within reformed theology. However, they teach seven spheres with the same names as these mountains. The Roman Catholic Church believes the same thing.

this video also drops hints that being "fundamentalist" ie taking the bible seriously, logically implies 7 mounts. this is not so it also implies that the latter rain movement implies 7 mounts. this is also not so, even though i reject the latter rain idea and it spreads the innuendo that the charismatic movement itself leads to NAR likewise not so. the continuing ministry of the holy spirit does not logically imply Christians ruling the earth in any capacity before Christ comes i rejected NAR because it is not scriptural. had i been searching for reasons to reject it this video would have been of no help whatsoever

Interesting information. From what I know, YWAM's lack of strong central leadership means you can't describe it with the broad strokes implied in this video. I certainly don't question the reports of verbal/emotional(?) abuse occurring as well as questionable theology. However, I also believe that there are many in the organization with good theology and a commitment to serving and loving God.

As a former ywamer I can tell you that you are correct…in a way. But every single ywamer has to read Loren Cunningham’s book and knows about his vision. Of course I had no clue what that actually meant at the time. Overall anyone on leadership in the group would have to agree with Cunningham’s vision.

@prahasky5
@prahasky5 13 күн бұрын
First of all, let me say that I'm strongly against NAR and understand it well. YWAM and Loren Cunningham are NOT part of Seven Mountain Mandate. I worked directly under Loren Cunningham and many of the leaders who talked about discipling the nations. But what they talk about is not 7MM. You need to know the difference. Your video has no quotes from Loren or any YWAM support for 7MM. All you have is the fact that Loren was friends with William Branham when he was young. Loren is famously friends with everyone. That Loren and Bryce from Campus Crusade had visions of discipling 7 spheres of society does not make them part of 7MM. We were taught that God and the Bible have things to say about business, government, family, education, etc. And the Bible does say things about these spheres. It's not just a book about the Church. So we can learn principles of business or family and we can be people who work in society to love people according to God's principles. YWAM teaches that you can be a business person who uses their business to serve people. Like Boaz in the Bible. With principles like gleanings and forgiving debts and not lending at usurious interest rates. 7MM is about trying to get Christians into places of power and do some sort of takeover of a sphere of society. YWAM and what Loren taught is just about being a good Christian business person and loving others through your work. Loren taught that it was NOT just missionaries who could do God's work. Business was also a place to love and serve people. I know this very well. Let's go after NAR, but 7MM is not at all what Loren or YWAM taught.

Youve done some good work but America is a republic and do you know the origination of the “separation of church and state”? Its not in the constitution.
@lesliewells-ig5dl
@lesliewells-ig5dl 23 күн бұрын
But the amendment about not establishing any religion is. The more separation between church and state there is, the better off everyone in this country is even though that phrase is not in the constitution.
@lindajohnson4204
@lindajohnson4204 22 күн бұрын
It is implied by the Constitution. Even saying that the government shall have nothing to say about religious doctrine, "or the free exercise thereof" implies a separation. Can't you see this? Or is all you care to think about the decades of propaganda that there is no separation? But if there was no separation in the Constitution, there is still the separation of church and state in the Bible! Only with Imperial Rome, and the Roman Catholic Church, did there cease to be a separation of church and state, and it wasn't good. "Christians" became the murderers of Christians, for one big example. Doctrine was horribly corrupted, whenever it interfered with the intentions of "Caesar", the state. The states have invariably believed that they have to control the "Noble Lie", a doctrine of Plato. Only with the reaction to centuries of abuse did some politically minded people entertain the idea of a government which upheld a freedom of conscience and belief, undergirded by freedom of speech, and try to bring this about. The separation of church and state in the Bible: "My kingdom is not of this world" - Jesus. "Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's and unto God the things that are God's." - Jesus Hebrews 13:14 KJV - For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come. "City" is Latin _civitas._ It actually means "government", rather than just a town. The "one to come" is only possible when Jesus actually returns, as He said in the Bible. It is as the angel said, when Jesus was ascending to the Father: why do you keep looking up? He will return just as you have seen Him go up. If another "theocracy" arises, which is contrary to the one taught in the Bible, you can bet that it is not the rule of the God of the Bible, just as Rome's was not, and still is not. It will be the rule of the spirit of antichrist, and eventually "the" human anti-Christ.

@lesliewells-ig5dl
@lesliewells-ig5dl 22 күн бұрын
What does it mean that the US has a Biblical foundation? Our laws are based on British laws, which are influenced by the ten commandments. The founding fathers were mostly Diests, not Christians. The pilgrims came here for religious freedom. But they were only one of the many groups that came here from Europe and people came for a variety of reasons. Historically, i don't see where this country has done things that do not benefit this country. Can you tell me, Historically, why you believe this country has Christian foundations? I'm always puzzled when i hear people say that.

this video descends into the fallacies of guilt by association and fallacies of origin ( aka genetic fallacies.) IT DOES NOT MATTER where 7 mounts came from what maters is that it is not biblical. besides, it is lazy thinking to concentrate on origins of the theory and not demonstrate FROM SCRIPTURE why it is false ,. and of course converts to NAR wil ignore your talk about origins for you do NOT offer scriptural refutation are you unwilling or are you incapable to refute from scripture , something more substantive than a couple of passing references to " a few bible passages"?? do you knot think this is an important issue? are you in fact protestants who believe in sola scriptura. i have disliked this video, not because you are wrong about NAR. it is of the devil, but because of t sloppy way you sought to counter it
