great reaction and smile rhn... haley reinhart is jessica rabbit here... it's crazy how she completely embodies the music and new orleans "dirge" vintage time period so well in this sort of symbiotic relationship that is so authentic and rare. the band and arrangement are excellent but she really brings it to life. in addition to her unique stunning vocals, she even becomes another instrument towards the end with the relentless scatting. when i briefly met her last spring, i was surprised how petite and soft spoken she is in person with how big a presence she puts on stage... truly amazing

​@@redheadedneighbor haley grew up in family of musicians. dad plays guitar, mom sings and her sister sings also. her parents had their own band while she was growing up that targets the 1960-70 era but also deeply appreciate the roots of music throughout generations and time periods and you can "feel it" in her being every time she sings. her dad still plays most frequently with her and even played with her during her american idol competition for an excellent cover of led zepplin's "what it is and what it never will be". they also did some more intimate songs together at chess records studio that the poster is referring to above just a few years ago.

Love Haley, been a fan since see sang 'Bennie and the Jets' on the American Idol talent show years back. She oozes class, and this genre suites her so well. She is young and lovely but has an old soul for sure. So classy.

This is tough. No way I can give a good overview of my eclectic taste. I listened to country music with my parents growing up. People like George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson( my channel name is based off his album redheaded stranger). Oh, and Kenny Rogers..They also listened to 50s and 60s rock. I was a pop girl. Top 40 stuff. With some Boyz2men type stuff in there. I transitioned into some Smashing Pumpkins, TMBG, Chili Peppers. Gospel, some folk, Classic 70s stuff. Recently I found Ren, Tom Macdonald, Nova, UpChurch, Burden..

Parents played stuff , like Ben Crosby , and Doris Day , and old brothers and sisters played Led Zeppelin and , Jimi Hendrix , and the Beatles older sister played Elton John and Fleetwood Mac .. so I really got a huge mix of Music .. Hi Haley is an amazing talent and with the addition of PMJ well I need not day more. Try listening to PMJ with Morgan James. Also may I suggest listening to a young English girl by the name of Lucy Thomas her version of Hallelujah has been used in the Dennis Quaid film On a wing and a prayer and is well worth a listen to. Yeah, control is the word. Just look at her in the third verse, she´s about too go boom and can hardly contain all the energy she has build up.
