I always love the character development of seven of nine as I was growing up... A shattered person trying to get their life back... And now 20 years later I had just went through a traumatic experience in my life and having seven come back as a new stronger person just helps me on so many levels.

Excellent video. Perfect choice of music. Seven of Nine is one of the best characters in the Star Trek franchise. What makes her such a great character is not just that she is played by Jeri Ryan and that she's a sexy sci-fi character. She's an interesting character. Poor Seven of Nine (Real Name Annika Hansen). I know she's not real and is only a fictional character, but I feel sorry for her. She was taken by The Borg as a child and was assimilated. Upon being disassimilated, she struggled to regain her humanity and adjust to life after being a Borg Drone and appeared to be very . She's highly intelligent but very socially awkward and suffers deep trauma from her assimilation. Jeri Ryan played her brilliantly. I am happy for Jeri Ryan and that she got to play Seven of Nine again after almost 20 years.

I want to make a disclaimer first: This is in NO way shade to the maker of this video. It is well made and shows Seven of Nine well in its portrayal. My rant is about what the woke Paramount has done to this character! They turned a symbol of hope that Janeway and Tuvok and Chakote and so many others worked so hard with to restore her humanity and make her whole and turned her into what? A washed out, violent, alcoholic psychopath whose brilliance should have shined as a beacon towards the peace that the Federation is really about. Not this!! What the hell is this really? Some "I'm a strong woman and I have to prove it" woke garbage?? Seven IS a strong and beloved character of Voyager and did NOT deserve to be turned into this brooding and emotional "lost cause". Seven deserves so much more. I think a lot of Star Trek fans hoped she would have accepted her humanity, married Chakotay and really become a beacon of hope for a Federation that has turned dark, hostile, foul mouthed, and dytopian!! This isn't what we asked for!!! The fans wanted perhaps a Seven who even could have become the Federation President and lead it into a bright, peaceful future where even the Borg are eventually included in the races that coexist and cooperate for the greater good. Does this "show" really promote anything the Federation stands for???? Seven years in the Delta Quadrant Janeway worked to show the intentions of a peaceful and progressive Earth. And to be tarnished by this dull and depressing Federation who seems to resent it's neighbors ,rather than embracing them? Does all this sound familiar in OUR time? This sows division, not unity!! Sorry that Paramount failed everything that Archer, Kirk, Picard, Sisko, and Janeway believed in. Yes I know these are actors and fictional characters but I think a lot of the fans wanted to see a Federation where people like Tuvok, La Forge, and Worf were given commands and ships of their own. Where their adventures were shared like all the other series. But to make this short. Stop making Star Trek so damn depressing and dark!!! Make it something that the fans can truly get behind, not something that divides and angers the fandom even more.
