I wonder how it compares to the Criterion 4K version in terms of picture quality.

The criterion 4k doesn’t have hdr or Dolby vision so it’s going to be incomparable

@@PanfluteExpedition_ I'd imagine the Dolby Vision BFI edition would look better.
