Seven sweet & sassy goat kids playtime!

We have 7 new goat babies in the barn and they came out ready to hop! Thistle had three mini nubian boys! Timber, Tundra & Thoreau! Then Sweet Pea had 2 kids: a mini Nubian doe named Verona and a buckling named Van buren or Van for short! And the last babies of the season were born at 2 in the morning yesterday to Belle! A doeling named Winslow (Winnie for short) and a buckling named York! Way more boys than girls born this year! Everyone has amazing homes except the last 2 who we are still matching up! All our names this season honored our state of Maine! And we made it through most of the letters of the alphabet!

Kids are definitely preprogrammed for hopping!! And even MORE interesting markings! The black mama's kids look like they're wearing cowboy boots! ROFL! And the little black and white nubian looks like some sort of fancy, strappy horse dressing gear on the head and down the back and the hind legs! Even the front feet! Wow! Obviously, they're all the CUTEst but he's a SHOWstopper! Gorgeous! His brown brother appears to have similar markings but the black and white - he like a celestial work of art! I feel kinda bad, oohing and awing over one kid but GOLLY!!

Yes the last ones were born a day ago. There are 20 big kids still with the herd but they leave at 8 weeks old.
