Agreed, I think this is one of the 3 world war candidates, first one is the second punic war, second one is the turkic migration of europe that brought the so called: battle for the nations and the massive turkic conquest of like about 40-70 percent of the continent (I dont exactly remember the name of the battle I just remember how it was referred to but it might have been the battle for the catalon or something.) And the 3rd one is the 7 year's war for sure.

The thing is that the battle of Zorndorf did not necessarily have to be fought, Friedrich had missed the chance to take the almost completely abandoned supply camp of the Russians because he was used to these victories through Leuthen and believed that he could crush the Russian army in one attack
