Still so blessed by your channel ! One fun goal is to explore our states parks and other natural resources. I live in Pennsylvania and our state has some beautiful state parks with great trails that are very kid friendly. So that’s our fun/exercise goal for the year 😊

I have the e-book borrowed from the library on my phone right now and read the first 3 chapters on Jan 1st....the first 3 chapters were definitely a strong start, I'm excited to keep reading!

Love the toddler fun goal! It’s something I tended to overlook, but a little bit of time is so rewarding for both of mom and baby. Yay for The Count of Monte Christo! I read it while I was nursing my third child lol, because I tended to have a bit more reading time then. So excited for your ancient history curriculum! I will have a first grader next school year, and am really hoping to be able to use it with her! My husband and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary this November 😮and I’m also hoping we can do a somewhat longer getaway 😀 Happy New Year! 🎉I really appreciated your perspective on goals/vision for the year.

Yes--that little bit of face-to-face quality time can really transform the day with a toddler, or at least my perspective on it--not just managing his mischief in the midst of everything but enjoying him in this current phase. And 20 years, that seems well worthy of a getaway! I'm on chapter 4 of The Count of Monte Cristo...I would say a strong start, for sure. Some classics have a very slow start but I've found this one to have quite an engaging beginning.

I read part of the count on an overseas plane trip. I think it was published/ written as a weekly story post in print.

Yes! It was written as a serial, which is part of the reason for the length.

We are planning a Disney vacation this year. We haven't done many since our kids are all young, and it's hard traveling with babies and toddlers. We'll be out of the toddler stage in a few months.

I set goals with reflection!!! I don’t decide how many books I’ll read but what books I’ll read!!! I surf daily but wen I haven’t surfed I have been inactive!!! My older kids remember these seasons!!! I don’t go to the gym but I have teenagers that do!!! I plan on improving my adopted teenagers German vocabulary so they understand it in our family!!! My biological teenagers use it!!! We speak in 2 languages at home!!! My babies hear German!!! We are doing holy land studies and Jewish history so that history sounds awesome for us!!! We have Jewish heritage but are Christians!!! I love working on future goals as well!!! We did a big trip for our 19th wedding anniversary in 2020 just before the lockdown!!! It was awesome till we got home!!! We got married young!!!

I hadn't thought of such a thing as a fun goal. I started exercising again in December after having our 7th baby in the fall so I want to continue that. I also want to read every day. (I already read the Bible and a Bible study book each day. I'm referring to something in addition to that.) And I want to take my kids to walk the freedom trail in Boston.

Just curious, I don’t know if I remember correctly so correct me if I’m wrong. Do you currently live in Thailand or somewhere in Asia? Why is Spanish your second language?

Spanish is my husband's first language and the language his family speaks together--so Spanish is the language we prioritize for our sons' cultural heritage and connection to their extended family. Yes, we live in Asia and I also speak Mandarin fairly well (we previous lived in China), but in our current hometown it isn't so much "needed" to get around, most everybody in our city uses English as the "lingua franca."
