Stumbled across this video. I sure hope the AMA has seen this thing. Although given it is several years old I am going to guess not....

Just look at the MXON results the past 10 years. The European riders are more talented at younger ages now. Time to pay attention to what they're doing over there and get on board or we'll continue to stay off the top step of the podium...

America should have the same amateur program during rounds of the outdoor nationals if we intend on having the fastest motocross racers in the world.

Yah that's one thing I had to eat crow on. When Ryan went and raced a year we were all so sure he was going to smoke all those guys. lol That was dead wrong! He did in one race both moto's. But I really expected him to be faster than all of them honestly. Taught me something.

Rv2 also had so much success for so long here. I don't think he was as hungry for the title because deep down he knows if he fails there, they can't take all those titles and wins from him over here.. where he grew up doing it. AMA style!!!

So have "they" taken a practical an Inexpensive MX race bike and made it as expensive as a four stroke? I was buying New 125's for Under $4000 in 2007. There has been zero technology invested in two strokes, which have almost no moving parts.... but cost ??
@cbmracing4995 жыл бұрын
Where the he'll could you buy a brand new 125 for under 4k unless it was in th mid 90's. I work for a Honda Suzuki Yamaha dealer and trust me in that year there is no way you bought a bike that cheap unless it was stolen! I have old sales bills to prove it!

@@cbmracing499 well, I bought a new 125 Yamaha for $3700 out of Demming NM and $4200 in the SF Bay Area. And I had to sell them for less than a 80 was selling for, 2 years later....like $2000. Now there is some upturn in popularity and people are so stupid I expect to see two strokes sell for More than 4 strokes, very soon.

EU > US. Hes top 10 in loretta lynns but doesnt quali for emx

well depends how you look at that. they put a bigger spotlight on the 125s in Europe. if you are that fast in America your not looking at the 125 class. you go for the 250 and open pro sport classes. and the guy who gets 10th at lorettas in one of those classes might not even qualify for a national race. so for him to be top ten in a 125 or "schoolboy" class at lorettas is very believable. only a few guys in those classes would stand a fighting chance in a pro sport class (if they qualify). its just a completely different amateur system. being an American I do wish we had a system like Europe. we glorify lorettas as if it is the only race that matters. in Europe they basically get a full year round championship. we did just adopt the 125 "all stars" class. hopefully that takes off ang gets bigger.
