I'm not into this genre, but I have to say you did an awesome job. I'm a fan of the guitar strums with what sounds like some spring reverb, and the organ. Nice textures!
@telequacker-9529
@telequacker-9529 3 жыл бұрын
It sounds more like a vibrato effect set to maximum rate and low intensity, with a little bit of "normal" reverb on top. It's a fairly common technique in the genre to give things a slightly warbly effect, sort of like an old tape being played. I get a similar effect with my cassette simulator VST, turning the "wow" knob up. A lot of lofi beats also use vinyl click/pop simulation.

I'm completely new to this genre but I like your song. Obviously, I can't say how well it meets the criteria for the genre, but I can say it falls nicely on my ear. I know you're new to the genre to, but with effort, you could make an album of it, and i hope you do, or at least include it on an album of your music.

Jake do a video on this beat. When I hear these 'lazy' or purposely 'sloppy' grooves, I always wonder if they're randomly pushed off the grid or if there's some poly rhythm madness to it? Like one is swung / one isn't?
