LALALI comes from the Korean word '나라리' (read: nalari), which refers to a person who is rebellious, acts cool, doesn't care about the rules, and is nonchalant :)

Actually there a lot a good song and hidden gem from svt and yeah they're can do any genre such a versatility group. And beside they're known as self producing group in Kpop also king of synchronization. I mean you have to watch their live/ dance practice. It will be good experience. And i recommend another bop song like SUPER, GOD OF MUSIC, HOT, ROCK WITH YOU its good i think u will like it. Ofc they're super talented so its waste of time if u not stan them😌✌hehe btw LALALI and SPELL is unit song bcs svt have 3 unit (hiphop, performance and vocal unit) actually thersonge is one more MV by vocal unit that u not react, its CHEERS TO YOUTH its kinda ballad yet cheerful song.

The 3rd song on this album is Cheers to youth by the vocal unit of seventeen they also have music video for that you might as well react to that bcoz that song is so comforting and Woozi (the member who produced their songs) got insipired of Hoshi (member) ment on their concert, Also dingo killing voice is a highly recommended for you guys to have a taste of their musics. I recommend Seventeen’s other latest title tracks - Super, God of Music, FML, _World, Hot. But also check Cheers to Youth which the vocal unit song and like others recommend check out the Seventeen episode of Dingo Killing Voice and really see their range and style! Others have commented but there are 13 members making up 3 core units - vocal, performance, hip hop (they also have a bunch of sub units -eg. BSS). Unit songs tend to push and experiment with genres and styles, but that could be said about all of their discography. Their sound though remains distinct even if they go with different concepts because the members have always been heavily involved in the production, writing and choreography of their music and performances. They’ve all got writing credits, many have composing credits and Woozi, one of the members, has produced like 99% of their discography. Seventeen’s fans are called Carats (unit of measurement for gems like diamonds). Darl+ing is a fav of Carats :)

Seventeen mini albums (which is what this is) generally have 2-5 full group songs and one unit song for each unit - Hip Hop, Performance (their videos are usually more dancy, etc) & vocal (those songs tend to be technically more difficult than their usual songs).

They have 13 members (same members they debuted with), and they are split into 3 units: hiphop, vocal, and performance. Maestro is all 13 members, lalali is hiphop team, and spell is performance team. They also have a song called cheers to youth which is the vocal team. The most well known explanation behind their name seventeen when they only have thirteen members is that 13 members + 3 units + 1 team = 17. For future videos I recommend their dingo killing voice which is a live medley of many songs, and it has captions. They also have a cozy sit down performance with Rolling Stone, where each unit performs their unit song, this is from three years ago and the songs are not the same ones you watched in this video. I’m genuinely not tryna be rude but I buss out laughing when you said westernisation of K-pop is crazy cos K-pop was built on western vibes. None of the songs are traditionally Korean unless groups go out of their way to incorporate their culture into the concepts😭 the 90s was heavily hip hop and house influence, 2000s was rnb, early 2010s were heavily edm influenced etc and followed global trends which is based on the western - typically American centred pop industry 😭😭😭😭dkm

The message are really deep and very meaningful. svt is telling us that they’re proud of their music combinations (classic and tech) but, they emphasize that the real maestro, who gives “command” in music is HUMAN! svt that always be there in their each songs, we can always feel the message and their emotions in their music. Also this MV didn’t use AI, they use 3D VFX created by artist. The robot dogs are real. the set are real, not AI. This show you that AI could never replace human artists because AI can't win to fight originality from real humans musician. Even the AI seems like "perfection" but AI are soulless, it lack human qualities & lack an ability to feel or produce deep feelings. human, are more capable than tech/robots (in this case, artistry)The essence of art by humans can't never be copied. and so this is the mission for svt to free real maestros from technology dominance in music. when at the start the metronome are red but by the end of mv, the metronome turns blue and ticking again, represents that music is “alive” again with the real maestros(human musician) on control. woozi produced maestro, contain sampling 7 previous title tracks (Adore U, Aju Nice, Oh My!, Fear, Rock With You, Cheers, and Super). for me it is very genius, because woozi able to produced it & how he keep the original instrumentation from them (heavy on synthesizer, bass/guitar, and various percussion). They are really very hidden but some more obvious ones include the little guitar riff at the beginning of Maestro (taken from Adore U’s intro), and the synthesizer in the prechorus (taken from the bridge of Rock With You). I think it’s interesting that Woozi chose to incorporate these samples in such a subtle way. In my opinion the only one apparent at first listen would probably be the Adore U guitar/bass riff, but that is arguably hard to place given that you need to be familiar with their debut song/early discography to find it. I loveeee it though, the samples effectively makes the verses of this song funky and interesting. you should check svt unit's mv too. svt had been doing units mv since 2017. it's very versatile. every unit brings different concept & had a great meaning behind it.
